I did business with Wallkill Valley Federal years ago and left because of the poor customer…read moreservice. Recently, I decided to give them another chance because it has been years since I had an account with them. BIG MISTAKE! My husband and I went to the bank and opened a joint account. Everything went fine. I then received a piece of a mail from the bank that had never been sealed. My account number was available to anyone that chose to peak inside the envelope. I immediately called the bank and spoke with Nancy. Nancy said I was not the only customer to complain and at first blamed the post office, but later admitted that another customer had come into the bank to show that his envelope had not been sealed by the bank. It became obvious that Nancy did not like hearing complaints when she asked me, why I bothered to come back to Wallkill Valley Federal and open an account. I told her that I had thought by now (after all the years that past), Wallkill Valley Federal would have changed the way they do business, but evidently, that was incorrect and I would be discussing the situation with my husband when he got home from work. When my husband got home and heard what Nancy had to say, his reply was, "CLOSE THE ACCOUNT!" I might also add that I emailed the President of the bank who blamed the post office for the torn envelope and totally ignored the fact that the envelope was CLEARLY NOT SEALED and that's WHY the envelope was torn at the post office.

I will say that we needed to get some cash, and we were on the Thruway, this branch was just a few minutes off the highway. It was extremely easy to drive into the center, and hop over to the ATM. The ATM's are also protected if it's inclement weather. It is also located in a very robust shopping area with a Tops Supermarket. It was a perfect location. Easy in - Easy out, ample parking area. KUDOs to BOA for maintaining this location.
