I was initially hesitant, but Wilberto does an amazing job! One of the first things he does once you get into the chair is mapping out your brows. Thank goodness for that because I've heard a lot of horror stories of other places just assuming what to clean and thread off without approval. Wilberto makes sure you're comfortable, which is a huge green flag as well.

I used to get my brows threaded by Ashita when I used to go to school nearby. I didn't trust anyone else with my brows for 5-6 years after my first visit! She is THAT good and I am still bummed that I can't go to her anymore since I moved to SF. She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to eyebrows and shaping them to enhance your face/eyes. When I came to her for the first time, I had sparse and thin eyebrows due to over plucking with a tweezer and bad experiences with prior threaders. Over time, she was able to help me get fuller brows naturally. She remembers exactly how I like my brows and they came out perfect every time. Plus she was always really friendly, professional, and I enjoyed our conversations. If you're considering coming here, just do it!

i think i found my favorite new esthetician !!…read more karly was so sweet to me and made me so comfortable throughout the treatment! she didn't try to sell me anything, but more so educated me on my choices based on my skin. i loved that she actually listened to how my skin problems made me feel, the products i've tried, and overall how my lifestyle has been going alongside it. her studio is so cute and the way she has it set up is very accommodating with a heated bed and such. i got a custom facial from her and the steps were from what i remember: steaming, face washing, extractions, enzyme mask with light therapy, and light wand for zapping away at bacteria. i've had extractions done before and boy did they hurt. karly was very light handed and made sure to check in on me to see how it felt. the enzyme mask did sting a bit, but it was nothing compared to a chemical peel. she talked to me all throughout the facial, and it made me feel really comfortable knowing that she was very proactive with double checking what my skincare routine looked like and treatments i've tried in the past. after the facial, my skin looked SO glowy and hydrated which is something i definitely needed after overusing actives. even at night, my skin was still looking amazing!!

But I still took a chance because the prices were good and booking was easy. Karla herself texts you where to meet and works out of a residential area so parking is pretty easy. Her little skincare studio is very intimate and relaxing. And she's also a delight to talk to (I probably yapped the whole time). Her facials are custom to your skin and goals. I had just come back from pretty extensive travel so my skin was dry and clogged. She did a deep clean and hydration. Not a single pore was overlooked and all my blackheads were gone. She also sells medical grade skincare at a lower price than some retail outlets. She also did a scalp massage with a rubber brush for me. I wish I knew that ahead because my hair is wavy and was full of tangles that day so you've been warned lol. If you don't care for medspas and want a solid facial done without the price being inflated by ambiance, definitely come see Karla. She's skilled, helpful, and personable. I'll definitely come back!
