I brought someone here to get assistance. As a spectator, this is a decent facility for getting…read morehelp for just about any needs you may have. There's generally an intake process and then the help starts. There are many free services, including classes and groups for rehabilitation, help with getting a job, requesting benefits such as SSI, SSDI, food stamps (SNAP), WIC, housing and many other benefits. They also assist with filling out paperwork and requesting documents from doctors (with your consent) to start your filing process. It's a very relaxed environment, but an interesting one to say the least. They offer snacks and drinks for purchase, but also offer a lunch during the day which is free. They're open on weekends, but I'm not sure what they offer then. My only complaint is they are busy and take a while to return phone calls or call you back to come in and start the process. Also, it's not a very private place. The employees will ask you personal questions in front of other people while you're in an open room. They also allow multiple intakes to happen at the same time, so you're forced to share personal information while someone else is sharing their personal info in the same room as you. I would check this place out if you're in need of assistance. It's located inside the Empowerment Academy building on the 2nd floor! Park inside the gated parking lot on the corner of Genesse and Elm St.

I would have thought that this would've been a tough process because I was not able to get to Buffalo just yet, but Lauren did an excellent job! Not only did Lauren make sure to send informative emails about job openings, but also talked with me about my personal life and the ins and outs of Buffalo. Aside from the consistent chain of emails, she also provided me with an updated resume, questions that might be asked during an interview and questions that I could possibly ask the interviewer. Another great services Lauren provided was speaking to the employer for me and setting up multiple phone calls and ZOOM meetings. From the first email I sent to Lauren, to the signing of paperwork at my new job, the entire process was about 3 fast weeks! Overall, I am extremely thankful for Lauren and StaffBuffalo finding me a great job close to my apartment while I was living in another state. Highly recommend!!

I found him very not personable, intimidating, not very helpful, and I also felt as though he was talking down to me at certain times. After telling him the situation, he basically said it all depends on what kind of a mood the border officer is in when you get to the US border - which I knew myself. Could have saved myself 15 minutes and $200.....
