I had the pleasure of working with Peggy Koch. She was very attentive, friendly, and understood my wants and needs for a future position. I met with her the first time in a cafe and she asked what types of law firms I wanted to work and not work for. Whenever she found a position that she thought I would be right for, she called me and asked and then emailed me everything I needed to know about the position I would interview for. This past week, I had 2 interviews and we spoke about each interview shortly after. She always wanted to know how I thought the interview went, and she would tell me the potential employers thoughts. I accepted a position at one of those firms and it was all thanks to Key Resource Group and Peggy Koch. My experience with KRG started off with a Craigslist posting which should of been my first clue. Not only that but he had it posted with his personal email. Shortly after emailing my resume I received a response VIA Email that I should give KRG a call which I then placed. I spoke to a recruiter who just started there recently. He seemed rather blunt and straightforward but I assumed this to be just his way to adapt to my attitude of hatred against temp agencies in the local market. Little did I know how right I was. I made it very clear I am not happy wasting my time jumping through hoops nor am I interested in temp services. Regardless he urged me to try them out. So he promised to send me more information about the job such as: Company Info, Proximity to me, ETC. That was last week on Friday. He was also suppose to send me a link to some work related tests (Typing, MS-office related). The only E-mail I received was one to fill out their lengthy online application which was a little much for me. By the time Monday morning came around I had yet to actually receive any further communication by him. So knowing that my appointment with him was at 2pm (I assume the office staff like most people in Buffalo were probably still licking their wounds from the SuperBowl the night before. Moderately understandable for this city). So I emailed requesting the info again and finally at around noon I received the link to the Iprove MS tests. I notified him promptly that we should reschedule because I needed adequate time to test and setup an interview for today at 10:30am. I yet again requested more info about the job to make sure there WAS a JOB. No response was met about the job information that he originally promised. So I figured I'd try and contact him 8am today to ask for further info because at this point it just looked like a normal temp agency tactic to Data Mine. So 30 minutes later I get a reply (No fine print disclosure on email either): ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good morning Chris. I apologize if I am not winning you over. Please don't go through the inconvenience of coming down for your interview. Additionally, I will make sure your data is not entered into the system. It was not my intention to make you feel as if you were jumping through hoops or that I was doing a temp agency data mining. Generally, when you apply for a job through any agency they do not disclose the name of the client company until you have been submitted and your resume is on their desk. It prevents an applicant from applying directly. You did do very well on the testing I must say! I'm just glad I called them out on their bluff before they made me traipse through snow drifts to get there. My best advice to job seekers is always do research on your employers first. Not only that but avoid temp agencies at all costs if possible, I understand if you need work now. Every job someone takes at a temp agency does nothing more than lower the WORTH of the worker. So let's all stop lowering our wages in this city and stick it to these revolving door data mining agencies. read more

I would suggest speaking with someone in person re: job interests rather than via email. I had sent an inquiry to a recruiter at KRS, it was just a simple question. Immediately, they wanted my resume but never answered my question. Beware of any organization that wants something from you but refuses to give you anything in return (such as a basic answer to a question). read more

The revolving door of employees that work there should be enough of a red flag. You will never see the same face twice when you are there. I tried to contact my recruiter and was told "she no longer works here". I just talked to the woman the day before. I have no intention of continuing to work with them. This was the third person I had worked with there at this point. The first never found me anything, the second treated me like a piece of garbage (had me take some tests, stared at me, then said "there were no legal openings" ".....ok so why did you have me come in and what are all these job postings on your web site then????" "at this time none of them are available. Good luck with your job search!" Like.....what the hell? One of my friends got terminated from one of their assignments via text and never got any explanation, despite trying to get a hold of the recruiter numerous times. Another individual I know was told the job they got hired for was permanent so she quit her current job because it was a great fit. She found out on day 3 at her new job that it would be going for three months at the maximum and her supervisor was shocked they represented it as a permanent position. Just.....be careful. I feel like if they arent collecting your information for their database and they interview you, be very wary. It seems like most of what they say is either false because of omission or is just a blatant fabrication. read more
