It's not surprising that I have on more than one occasion lost my house key. Luckily not for a long time and thankfully not at my last student abode which used specially cut keys which had to be ordered at a cost of £40 each. This little place cut me a replacement key from my house mate's. Smooth and cheap. Didn't take very long and the key was a much better cut than the slightly rough edged originally I had.

I regularly lose my keys (seriously, if you find a random key on the street, its 90% likely it used to belong to me. I'm waiting to be robbed). I don't mind making the trip here because the staff are so nice and it adds to the service their providing. It proves that good costumer service, results in returning costumers.

To be honest I only had a vague idea of what I was looking for but the blokes in Castle helped me out as soon as I walked through the door. This is an old school DIY and hardware store - they seem to have everything behind that counter. The good thing about coming here rather than going to a chain shop is that I was able to walk in ask an expert and leave within 5 minutes. I also didn't have to buy anything I didn't need. They stock plumbing, electrical and decorating equipment including paint but I would suggest just going in and speaking to the guys who work there - they couldn't have been more helpful. What's more, the electrical blocks cost me under £2! Great value!

I'm not a driver so if something goes wrong or I need to get some paint, its hassle to go to one of the big B&Q or the other big stores. The staff have a great knowledge of everything they sell. I needed some orange paint and whilst they didn't have a certain insane colour (not my choice!), but they offered to get it delivered in withouth any extra charge. Pleasant, knowledgeable guys who will go that extra mile to help.

Walk in the door, look to your left and there's Timpson. This Timpson is absolute class offering a wide range of services including dry cleaning, key cutting, cobbling and even phone repairs. They offer on the spot key cutting, which is really handy and won't break the bank. The location is excellent with ATM's and on site parking you will be hard pressed to find a better service. The guys working at Timpson know their stuff too and are generally pretty amiable.

I stood in one shoe chatting and I was out if the shop before I knew It. I do not know exactly how much it is per key but I know that I was able to afford one key with loose change in my pocket.
