We got a flat tire as we were headed to Browning.
For those who have not been to Browning, it's on the Blackfeet Reservation and Montanans and tourists tell all sorts of scary stories about stopping here and being accosted by real Indians. (Sounds kind of exciting huh?).
Many will tell you not to stop in Browning and just keep going. It is a rough place. There is a lot of poverty and drugs, but not because the people are degenerates. Its because, like any other minority, they are oppressed and therefore not given a good start in life. The Natives are beautiful in heart and soul. They will give you the shirt off their back if you need it. We have many Blackfeet friends and it is perfectly safe to stop here. If you want to read about why they may be guarded towards the White Man, read on their history of subjugation and assimilation:

Ok, off the soapbox now :-) We were treated so well by Kevin and his team. For a decent price of $80 we bought a new tire. Our flat wasn't worth repairing because we drove on it too long and the spare was flat too! (We had just asked our mechanic to ensure it was road worthy. Guess they didn't do what they said they would.) They totally could have taken us since we were desperate, but they didn't.
This is a humble tire shop as are most of the stores here. If you're in need of tire repair, try here! It's right off the main road thru town. read more
