The wait is short. For me, it's an easy short clip. I'm 5 minutes in the chair and out. Friendly staff. Kevin himself is a bit of a smartass, but funny about it. I like a certain other barbershop, but don't want to spend an hour. Price is right. read more

I've been going to Kevin's haircuts for years. There's never a long wait even through there may be a line. Fast haircut, good quality.

Ok haircuts for children but they can't do anything complicated it's cheap so you get a cheap looking haircut that's it

Door was locked at 6:20. Only two people sitting in there. That's bull you say you're open till seven and then you lock the door.

Kevin's was 5 star when it opened. Now the doors are locked half an hour to an hour before posted closing time. Another point, a 5 minute buzz cut costs the same as a style that takes 30 minutes or more to do. Way overpriced for 5 minutes in the chair. read more

Five minutes in and out. Cash only. Been going for 15 years, back when $10 would get you what costs $24 today. Bigger new building, many stations. Always pleasant staff. Third location in Northampton. read more

Went to get a haircut yesterday and it was packed so I decided to wait when I had more time and go today. I got there at 5:35 waited for 40 minutes until I realized their ATM was out of service. So at 6:25 I went and got cash from the pride down the street and came back right as the person up before me was leaving. There was me and one guy left after that guy even before I left and they still turned me around when I was back right when I would have been up anyways. Plenty of time before 7 (closing) as well. I waited for over a hour and me getting cash changed nothing in what the time would have been anyways. I've gone here since I've been 5 but will no longer be coming back. That's ridiculous read more

I have been going to Kevin's for years because they had reasonable rates for Senior Citizens. Now, (2025) however, the price of a Senior haircut is $20, so $20 + tip is a lot to cut the hair of a guy that's practically bald! I am really shocked that Kevin raised the price from $16 to $20 summer of 2024. $4 is quite an increase, and I suspect that the number of seniors has dropped because of it. read more

Reasonably priced quality men's haircuts. Senior citizens get a discount. No appointments needed; first come first served.

I've been coming here for years. No more. The advertising, and sign on the door says they close at 7:00 PM. Sorry. Doors are locked at 6:00 PM. I understand that the help wants to leave at 7, but don't say you're open. Wasted trip. read more

I live in Westfield but for the last couple of years I have been driving to Kevins in Northampton for my haircut. The quality is good, the barbers are pleasant and price is reasonable. Being retired it also gives me an excuse to stop and have a good breafast on the way home. I like Kevins a nd recommend it read more

I've been going here for over 20 years. Started with a flat top with a landing strip! Actual barbers, owned by barber- clean and modern but has barber shop vibe. In and out, very reasonably priced, no BS! read more

Don't bother. Terrible, rushed haircut by a "barber " that acted like she would rather be doing anything else. It was relatively inexpensive so that's a small plus. read more

I'm never able to reach this business with a phone to see if they're open or to find out if the cutter I would like is working. she's one of the people that has been working than a few months. I have enjoyed good service and friendly staff at this establishment more than once, but was disappointed today when I was turned away before the posted closing time. The "OPEN" was still lit. I was told "we are not robots." read more

Always have a great experience with Cassie when she cuts my hair she as the magic touch and is always very friendly I would highly recommend 10/10 read more

The hairdressers' goal is to get through as many customers as possible as quickly as possible. As a result, they are hasty, sloppy and inconsistent, and don't seem to care at all about the end result, or whether the client looks good. The vibe is like a pet grooming service, not a salon. Choppy, uneven cuts are the result. I gave a few chances but not again. Go elsewhere, your hair deserves better. read more

Clean establishment. Friendly staff. As POC, I don't feel she had experience cutting my type of hair. Most definitely needs more experience with it. read more

No nonsense, consistent, friendly, fast, affordable. This is exactly what I look for in a barber shop. I don't give much of a crap about my hair, I don't put much thought into it and often put off cutting it for way too long. I have no interest in going to a barber shop with a long wait, to hang out with bro-dudes who just talk about sports. Nor do I want to go to a salon where the staff make it obvious their time is more valuable overcharging for dyes and blow outs than giving a simple men's haircut. Kevin's is perfect. Even when there is a wait, it moves super quick. I've been in there when all the waiting seats were full (friday after work before a holiday weekend) still only took 40 minutes to get in an out. But on average, I would say I'm in and out in 10 - 15 minutes. No joke. The staff there know what you want, work fast and efficiently, but take the time to check in and make sure everything is coming out how you want it. They can tell who likes to chit chat, and who doesn't want to bother. The price is right, and because its so reasonable, it makes it easier to give a bigger, well-deserved tip. For as long as I work in Northampton, I will be giving them my business. read more

One of the barbers doesn't listen and I do not recommend. Didn't listen to a word I said and made my hair uneven. I downloaded this app and made an account specifically for this. That's how bad my hair is now. I've had a lot of bad haircuts but none compare to the this. She didn't care at all for me, a paying customer and didn't didn't to the words I said. said "I want it to fade from 3 to how it currently is on the sides" I also stated I didn't want it to be too aggressive of a fade. She proceeded to quickly and not carefully shave the side of my head to a 3 completely. Leaving a tiny bit. About an inch. That's very aggressive. I was going to say something but before I could she had shaved more and I thought I might as well not because it's too late. Let me made it clear that absolutely ZERO fading was done with the tiny patch left and that the left side was cut noticeably lower than the right. Maybe due to the fact she checked her Apple Watch while activity cutting my hair and continued to use the clippers while looking at her watch. The whole haircut was about 5 minutes. With my hair type it's hard to not get knots in it. So she had to comb it out. She did that very uncarefully and aggressively. I personally am not too affected by the pulling but it did hurt more than it should've considered she's supposed to be doing this for a profession. Also another note is that op of my hair overhangs the side which is what I wanted faded to. I wanted the top barely touched besides a trim. She made no effort to move the overhang and instead faded it into the top of my head where I wanted the overhand to stay. I understand that she might have gotten confused with what I wanted, so ask. She didn't say a single thing to me. Also if I wanted to do the opposite on the top than I currently have, id say so. Based on the hairstyle I had where the top WAS at least three inches longer than the sides. I assumed she'd be able to connect the dots. Apparently not. I returned and managed to salvage it sort of. Still unsatisfied because it'll take many months to restore the haircut I had. I will not be returning to this establishment. I wish I had asked for her name so I could say exactly who it was. But do better. read more

Very good time for the first time coming here I was very surprised that I haven't stepped foot into Kevin's haircut after all these times living in North Hampton the atmosphere is good and ever since they got a bigger building it seems like they have a new equipment and service was extremely fast everything was walkins no appointments online and got a haircut from Kevin himself didn't know how to cut real good and for the price that you're paying is extremely reasonable as well read more

Best haircut around. Fast, friendly and affordable. If you're a senior over 65 you have to visit Kevin's. For $11. best deal hands down. read more

This haircut was quite literally the fastest cut I have ever had...3 minutes. Wild. If you need your hair cut go to a real barber. This was not it. Asked for a bald fade no fading or balding occurred. Conversation was good and the staff was kind. read more

Today I brought my two sons in for a haircut. My oldest is on the spectrum and struggles with the noise of clippers, the sensation of the clippers and the feeling of hair on his neck. Haircuts have been a struggle his whole life, they are always a battle, and he fights to not have them as much as possible. So I have given him home hair cuts for almost 9 years. He was desperately in need of a good cut to clean up his mop. I convinced him to give Kevin's Haircuts a try. The ladies were so amazing. They were kind and talked to him and made him feel comfortable. He let them use clippers and had no moments of anxiety or being uncomfortable. He sat and let the entire haircut happen and was very happy with the results. He told me that he liked it better than mine and he wants to go back. He also enjoyed the gum-ball machine and lollipops. To me that is a huge win and we will be returning. read more

The place is nice on the inside but the customer experience has been average. Just an old-time barbershop. No frills. Haircuts, old magazines, and combs in jars of liquid.. Nice atmosphere. $10 per cut.

Was getting an oil change in North Hampton, and googled nearby barbershops. Kevin's was the closest, so I walked over. Was difficult to find as the street numbers are out of order. His hours on the window say he opens at 7 AM, but when I arrived at 10:15, the woman in the salon next-door said he wouldn't be there until 11. I said "forget it" and walked down N. Hampton St. to Premos. read more

I gave Kevin's Haircuts a try recently, and was very happy with the haircut I received. It was done quickly and skilfully, and for a very reasonable price. However, I felt that the customer service side of things was really lacking. The hairdresser's unfriendly demeanor gave me the distinct impression that I was intruding upon her time. I felt really unwelcome, and my overall impression was that she was hating her job. I tried to be pleasant, but from her there were no smiles, and despite a couple attempts at a little bit of small talk on my part, her communication was pretty much the bare minimum. At the end of the haircut I thanked her and received no response. She was finally friendly at the very end of the transaction when I tipped her. I really don't expect to be coddled or for someone to be artificially cheerful, but it is very difficult to feel comfortable when you are being treated in a begrudging manner by someone whom you are paying to perform a service for you, especially when it's your first visit. I would like to give the hairdresser the benefit of the doubt since we all have a bad day occasionally, and would be happy to adjust my rating if I'm treated in a welcoming manner on a future visit. read more
