The office is clean and has recent issues of magazines and pamphlets, I was not able to read them as I was quickly taken care of by staff. Immediately after I was seen by Dr Tunnat. Dr Tunnat took great care 'going over my medical history, reviewed my shoe inserts and listened attentively to my questions and reasons for my visit. He prescribed Physical therapy for which I am profoundly grateful as my mobility/ flexibility has returned in less time that I anticipated. On a side note, he has a poster in his office which, If my memory serves me right, indicates 'n the title the common reasons for ? pain, neuropathy? 'n the legs. and would you know? I found out there that lack/insufficient Vitamin D is a great contributor of leg pain . I quickly became more disciplined with my sun bathing and my intake of vitamin D when not able to. awful. he told my my problem was a cyst. I told him it was not as I already had an ultrasound. He ignored me an proceeded to inject me with an anesthetic and stuck a needle in it and tried to aspirate it. Of course this did not work because it was not a cyst. Have never been to a worse doctor. Does not listen. Was in excruciating pain for 3 months before he finally believed me and scheduled a test. Never called with the results of that test which explained why I was in so much pain. Never heard back from him. I think he just never believed anything I told him. Primary doctor took over and is addressing the issue. read more

This is the worst podiatrist you can ever go to. His bedside manners are awful. He is an angry professional. I took my 88-year-old dad to him and I was running late so I called him and told him that I'm on my way. He said I'll take him after other patients. I thought he meant the ones who are already there, which is fair; he actually meant that he will take my dad after every patient he is seeing that day. My dad who is a senior citizen who got very tired after waiting for more than an hour so we had to leave. I called the next day and told the front desk person that we had to leave. And the podiatrist sent a $50 broken appointment letter to my dad. He is rude and has a passive-aggressive behavior. There is another podiatrist Dr. Gerber in the same building on the 5th floor who is much better than him. His office is much cleaner than Dr. Tunnat's office that has a lot of clutter all over. read more

Dr. Tunnat appears to be a relatively competant doctor. In the waiting area, others praised his services. He was able to diagnose a foot condition that was new to me, and I appreciated it. However, he did have some personality issues that interfered with my treatment and recovery from my condition. Unfortunately, I could not return to him for needed follow-up. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Tunnat for many years. I had foot and ankle pain for quite a number of years, before our first appointment. It was remarkable that he was able to cure all of it and right from the beginning, too! Dr. Tunnat is an extremely good doctor. His staff is also entirely helpful and professional. Rude and unprofessional. My wife visited Dr. Tunnat this afternoon to have him evaluate her foot that she twisted badly the night before. She had called him the previous night to arrange a visit for this afternoon. She was on time to the appointment. When it turned out that the foot was broken, he suggested three alternatives: a soft cast, a hard cast, and surgery. When my wife asked for his reasoning as to which would be the best option, he was not detailed and left her feeling that she really did not have a complete picture as to why one option would be better than another. He suggested a hard cast. When I arrived toward the end of her visit, he had put on a cast. I asked him to show me the broken bone on the x-ray. Without walking over to the x-ray, he told me "you can see the broken bone" as if I was a physician myself. When I asked him to show me the area on the x-ray that showed the broken bone, he refused. When my wife asked for a copy of the x-ray, he told her "you can take a picture of it on your phone". He also refused to discuss with me or my wife whether there might be any issues with putting on a cast instead of doing surgery. In fact, when I asked him if there could be issues, he replied "I can schedule her for surgery next week". I never asked for her to be scheduled. In addition, he gave no daily care instructions to me or my wife to help us to make sure that she would have proper follow-up care at home. Dr. Tunnat did not help my wife go from the crutches to the wheelchair as we were preparing to leave, and he did not offer to help with the exit door of the office as I was ready to wheel her out. He only offered to help when I pointed out that he should do so. Throughout the time I was with him and my wife, he was impatient, saying "I have already spent an hour with your wife" as if he was doing her a personal favor. In addition he was personally rude to me, criticizing me for having not been present for the whole visit. This would be a last-resort podiatrist for me and my wife. I have zero confidence in his willingness and ability to provide excellent service. read more

This doctor is horrible. Condescending, rude, unsympathetic. He has no interpersonal skills. He will cut you open, permenently change your anatomy then blame you for not healing correctly. He gives misinformation, changing the timeline at every visit. He is confusing, cannot answer questions if he answers them at all. I cannot walk properly because of what he did to me. Do not trust this doctor, especially for a surgery. He's in it for easy money, and will bill you and your insurance for every penny he can squeeze. Stay far away! read more

This is my second review for Dr. Tunnat. He has been taking care of my fractured foot for several months now. After patiently waiting for my foot to heal on its own, he ordered a bone healing system for me to use every day for twenty minutes. X-rays show that my foot is healing slowly with this system. The doctor is very good at diagnosing foot problems and finding innovative ways to solve them. Thank you Dr. Tunnat for all your wisdom and help with my feet! read more
