From day one he's been patient, understanding and thoughtful. He really listens to my concerns and has offered great advice. He's even referred me to a sleep specialist because my overall sleep directly impacted my health. He's never shied away from my million questions or list of ailments. But most importantly, I appreciate his honesty. He doesn't promise the moon but is willing to help find options that work best for me. And that is something that I wish more doctors would do. Check in and out is always smooth and efficient. We typically go to the Aiea office; they're in that office M, W, and F, but I believe Dr. Tada is only there on Fridays. Perfect for our schedule. I first heard of Dr Tada from my CRPS support group. They all raved about his knowledge of CRPS, which is a feat in itself as a rare and poorly understood condition with the worse pain known to man. Most of the doctors I had encountered had never even heard of it, much less able to treat it. The only other doctors I found to have significant knowledge on the condition were the doctors at the pain management center at UCSF. Unfortunately, my insurance changed to a company that didn't have UCSF in network. I tried a few doctors on Oahu, but even those who had knowledge of CRPS proposed solutions that were either debunked or had never been widely used in the case of CRPS. And sadly with CRPS, incorrect treatment often leads to spread or worsening of the condition. Hence the dire need for knowledgeable doctors. Not only is Dr. Tada knowledgeable about CRPS but he has had several years and several patients experience. I have since received more helpful solutions than I ever thought possible. Treatment of CRPS is extremely dependent on a case by case basis. Medications that work for one patient they have an opposite effect in another patient. Some patients can tolerate touch while others can barely tolerate a breeze. In some patients it can go into remission while another patients it can cause lifelong debilitating issues. Unfortunately, I fall into the latter category, but with a Dr. Tada, I am able to have an unbelievable quality of life despite the pain. He doesn't just treat a small part of the condition as most doctors do. He treats the patient as a whole.

I was in need to see a doctor while visiting Hawaii, so I came to this place. When I walked in the person at the front was really rude. She was not nice and didn't seem to care. Next to her desk was a water fountain that had water all around it- a slip hazard if you ask me. Behind her desk was a bunch of coffee machines- about 3 to 4 machines with dirty dishes around it. I asked her if I could do a walk in, and she said it's better to make an appointment, and then she was summoned by the doctor and asked me to wait on the side. I suppose there wasn't any other help. While waiting, I noticed how dirty and cluttered this office was. Very odd to have a chest freezer in the waiting room, but it was there. There were also plants everywhere that attracted some bugs. There was a musty smell as well. There were Christmas decorations out and some power tools under the front entrance window. Very weird. When she came back to help me, she told me that they don't accept insurance, and that everything will be out of pocket. She mentioned that I could go to my insurance and ask for a reimbursement. At this point, I felt that this wasn't the place I'd like to get care from. If you're visiting Hawaii and just need a doctor to see, and you're DESPERATE, I suppose you can come here, but just know that they DONT accept insurance, and that you might have to WAIT LONG. I also did my research on the doctor who works there, and it's something worth looking into. When I receive care, it's important to know who you are going to. I find it suspicious that on the negative reviews, the doctor comments on them, and then deletes it.

Kelsie performed the most comprehensive evaluation to help identify each area that I was experiencing pain, numbness and discomfort. Kelsie is extremely knowledgeable and super fun to work with. She makes you feel comfortable and does an excellent job of putting together a detailed summary, which she presents to Doctor Wang. After Kelsie meets with Doctor Wang to discuss her evaluation, they met with me and that is when I knew I was in great hands. Instead of providing a treatment without knowing the conditions of my lumbar spine and sacrum, Doctor Wang requested that I have a lumbar and sacrum MRI to determine the what treatments are necessary. Kelsie set everything up for the MRI and Sheila, who is also amazing scheduled all of my follow up's with Kelsie and the Doctor when the MRI's were completed. I tried a few things to get rid of my pain, but I gave up, nothing really worked, well, with the exception of pain medications. Someone recommended Dr. Farzad to me; apparently he just recently opened his practice on island. He moved here from Pittsburgh. He is the newest addition to the Infinity Life Center. Scheduling an appointment was super easy. The girl who answered the phone had very pleasant voice, and I was able to schedule my appointment right away. They are located in Nauru Tower, on the intersection of Ala Moana Blvd and Piikoi St. They have a private parking lot, with plenty of parking. The Infinity Life Center is located inside Nauru Tower, on the 4th floor. They have a private elevator, located to the left of the elevator lobby. They waiting area is very nice. All decked out in marble, with comfortable couches and complimentary coffee. That was really important for me, because I am a coffeeholic. Not that I had time to drink my coffee, because Dr. Farzad saw me right away. His office is really nice, with glass wall overlooking the Ala Moana Beach. I had a chance to enjoy a beautiful vista while being worked on. He used something called OMT to manage my pain, that stands for osteopathic manipulative treatment. Not that remembered this name, I had to look it up. He worked on my back for about 20 minutes, he was gentle yet firm. The results were amazing. I felt much less pain without the meds! He said that I will need a series of treatments, but now I know where to go. Thank you Dr. Farzad, I will definitely be back.
