I would not have found the need to even comment about this nationally renowned rabbi and this congregation were it not for a totally unfounded, ill informed review posted by someone else previously. It is sometimes hard to overcome negative comments, but this derisive one, to which I refer, should be dismissed by anyone with even the least degree of discernment.

Dahlgren Chapel is known throughout Washington as the place for late Sunday night masses: 7:30pm, 9:30pm and 11:00pm are the normal mass schedules at Dahlgren Chapel during the Georgetown University Fall and Spring Semesters. Other Sunday masses are 11:00am, 12:30pm, and 5:00pm. These are great masses too for out-of-towners, tourists, etc. -- see the campus. The Chapel dates to 1893 and is itself a beautiful place to visit even for tourists or non-Catholics. It is beautifully up to date and has wonderful ceiling trusses. The Chapel is easiest to access by walking through Healy Hall to the courtyard behind Healy Hall. The Chapel was renovated in 2013.

I filled out a questionnaire to ascertain what I might get from participating in the Scientology "methods" or classes. I watched a video. Of course they are trying to sell you on this stuff, but I didn't feel too pressured. I found it to be a reasonably pleasant experience. The follow up has included getting some mail from them, but no harassment otherwise. I did not choose to pursue my curiosity as it seems like an endless investment, and I am satisfied with my orientation to my status in this universe. As a side note, I am kind of surprised to see a review of an establishment that is called a church. I am comfortable giving this place a review because I don't think it will offend those who choose to believe in Scientology, but it would be weird if people reviewed their churches, temples or synagogues. Let me add now that I just typed in chuches and found several reviews, as well as synagogues, for which there were a few. So, OK, I have another review coming up.

I attended Spanish mass which it was a plus for me. As with every place in downtown DC parking is very limited so plan accordingly and take Uber or walk if you live nearby!
