This place was so cute and perfect for our stay. So close to town and easy access. 10/10 recommend.

Stayed here one night early March (2021). Not many tourists in town at this time, so everything was very quiet and peaceful. Check I. Is super easy, they text you the door code to your phone and everything is contactless. Parking is free & right across the street. The river is there too, so you can hear the water flowing by all the time from your window. I had room 3 downstairs and it has 2 queens plus a full kitchen, which is great for when you're traveling with food. The shower pressure is good & the beds are comfortable. Plus it is a very affordable hotel. In town most business staff in town are wearing masks, but locals don't seem to wear masks. So you need to keep your distance from people. This is an adorable town and I'm happy to have visited in one of the off season times. It is within walking distance to shops & restaurants too. I'd stay again! read more

Hey, this place was pretty cool. The mixed reviews had me hesitant, but once we got in, it was totally fine! Looks like they replaced the carpet recently. We (3 of us) stayed in the Pinecone Suite. It had a queen bed, kitchenette, pull-out and a bathroom. Back door leads to the parking area. It is located right across the street from the river. There is street parking, but we noticed no cars at dusk, so we moved ours behind the room. Just 1 block from everything in the little town. We didn't have to check in with anyone. The doors are locked with a digital keypad. The Lodge is small. Main building is 2 stories. Bottom has the 2 suites. 1 has 2 double beds, and the other is the one we stayed in. Upstairs is a 2 bedroom. There is also a little studio in the back. One thing to be careful for are the ants and the bats. When looking for the lodge, look for the carved bears. read more

I loved my stay! This place is just lovely everything is so clean!! Like really clean! They staff is so nice and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good. Your usual cereal orange juice and bagels. The rooms are pretty big we got 2 queen beds and there was still so much space in the room. They do have a strict policy with noise. But considering the location it is expected. The river is not close at all to the hotel. It's across the street and you have to hike down a little. I would most definitely stay here again! read more

Second time here, We stayed in the two bedroom suite Overlooking the river. It was absolutely beautiful, So spacious with so many nice details. And the private patio was the best. Easily fit two small families and even room for a few more. Will be back again next year read more

I loved my stay and the cute cottage that I rented. The cottage was very neat, clean and private. It had everything I needed to make me feel at home. I am so happy that I found this place. I loved the private patio and small lawn area to relax in. Private parking available made me feel safe. Jenny was so very nice and accomodating. It was very quiet during the evening. The riverfront view was beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely return here next time I am in the area. I am from Whittier, CA and my purpose for visiting Kernville was to do some hiking in the Sequoia National Forest. Kernville is a very nice area to visit. Needs some maintenance... at least the room we had! Spent a night there recently. The place seems to be a hodge-podge of rooms and buildings. The room we had was actually more of a cabin out back with a beautiful view of the driveway and parking area. No riverfront here! The sink handle came off and the dryer was not properly attached to the wall so it came off as well. Small things I admit, but things that make an impression and are avoidable with a bit of maintenance. Location was good as you can walk to the central town square area and park which has shops, bars and restaurants. Personally, I'd pick other places to stay as there are a few to choose from. read more

Definitely recommend when visiting Kernville! Stayed in the suite(room 3) and LOVED it. It is super clean and across from the river/park. Beds are clean, room doesn't smell, cooking utensils, and much more! Will be staying here from here on out when visiting ! read more

They had a jacuzzi room we attended during their off season. We really enjoyed this feature for a few years as we booked this room. Last year they ended this option and we took a couple photo in front of the hotel. It was once a great B and B but now they hate dogs. read more

I stayed here for around a week or so with my husband looking for a home to buy near by and we were pleasantly surprised that the River is indeed across the street! Not a lot of traffic goes back and forth other then for others to park and the people around are very respectful of sound so it was very peaceful. They were so very kind to us and made us feel welcomed. Whenever I explained I had to stay another night or two so we could sign paperwork for the house towards the end of the visit she was more then willing to put time aside of her personal time to make sure we had a room. They put so much TLC into this place and you can tell! Clean room, clean bathroom and whenever we had a room with a kitchen it was very clean too. Never had a place I didn't have anything bad to say. Would stay everyday if I could lol! If your looking for a family friendly clean place to stay with easy safe access to the river this is your spot! read more

It worked in a pinch. Please replace the toilet seat, just ick! Dirty carpet. The shower was small but good water pressure. Great location. Could be so much better with a little elbow grease. read more

My family came here for the weekend and it was a big let down. There was a cockroach in the room. The bathroom window wouldn't stay open without a stick. The air conditioner "worked" but not really. It was over 90 degrees outside and at times it felt more refreshing outside than it did inside. And to top it all off, somebody stole our fishing poles from right in front of our door. read more

This adorable little four unit property used to be called Adrenaline Watersports Lodge, which is why it doesn't show up on google maps GPS. The property consists of a main lodge with one large unit upstairs, two smaller units downstairs and a cottage. My group was is the cottage, which I highly recommend as it is it's own unit away from the main lodge. The management is spot on, with a courtesy call the day of my arrival letting me know how to check in. The cottage was clean and comfortable, bedding and towels were surprisingly first class and the water pressure in the shower is amazing (this is a big deal for me, lol) The property is right across the street from Riverside Park, where you can float, swim and BBQ. Behind the property is "downtown" Kernville with restaurants, bars, antique shops and river rafting outfitters. The Cracked Egg has amazing breakfasts and their French Toast is to die for! Each unit on this property is unique from what I could determine. It appears that two have actual wood burning fireplaces, two (including the cottage) have electrical fireplaces. The cottage has a swamp cooler, but we counted at least two wall air conditioning units in the main lodge with a swamp cooler on the roof. The grounds are well maintained, though if you come when the apple tree is ripening late summer, you may have to dodge fallen apples in the parking lot. The ones on the tree were delicious though! As wonderful as this place is, there are a few items that could use improvement: BBQ's are dated and worn. No lighting for the yard where the BBQ's are located, so BBQ before dark or have a flashlight handy. Kitchen supplies were minimal, with no BBQ tools to be found. read more

We stayed here several times and absolutely loved the place. The location is the best. You have the river upfront and all the restaurants and entertainment in the back of the establishment which connects to a quaint downtown. The rooms a large and clean. Great little hidden secret for anyone who wants to escape the city. read more

Great place to stay across the street from the river! I spoke with Debra (and also Ginny!) who offered up the 2BR suite on the top floor. It was spacious, very clean and perfect for our needs (can easily fit 8 people as I think there are 2 pull out beds in the living room, which we did not use). Good size galley kitchen, 2 Bathrooms, and washer/dryer. While the place is definitely dated, it is charming and in a great location. You can walk to restaurants and shops in the city square, or walk to river rafting, which is the reason why we were in Kernville in the first place. Debra & Ginny were super sweet, attentive and made sure our stay was perfect. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip! read more

Stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath part of this lodge Labor Day weekend with family and let me tell you it was awesome! So convenient and clean. It had literally everything a house would need not to mention the river is literally across the street. No complaints about this place what so ever and can't wait to be back! read more

Myself and family have made some lovely memories at this place... from fishing just across the street to hanging out in the cabin and sitting the fire its a lovely spot. Jenny is wonderful and hospitable host very caring. I hate to share this because this is one of our favorite spots to visit and now the cat is out of the bag! read more

To no fault to the caretakers who were very accomidating and friendly and doing the best they could with what they had....the place needs a total renovation! Screen doors falling apart on front and back doors. 3 and 4 locks on each door (not very comforting) We stayed in #3 ....ahhh correct that....we didn't stay! Plaster falling off bathroom walls, curtsins old and falling off their rails, cob webs behind the curtains, very little lighting. Just NOT WORTH 121.00 a night...not even 50.00 a night. Stayed in enchanted cottage in the back of the property. Very private and clean. Full kitchen bath 1 bedroom very comfortable bed and cozy living room. Private patio with bbq. My go to spot from now on when in Kernville. read more

Awesome little place! As picky as I am, I was only able to find two things wrong. The damaged blinds, which was defected to the point of me being concerned about outsiders looking in. And one other thing, which I consider to be minor, was the dirt all around the heater in the bedroom. Everything was so clean, I was actually surprised. Whoever does the cleaning for this comfortable little lodge, absolutely pays attention to detail, so how they missed the obvious dirt all around the heater in the upper ceiling by the door, is a mystery to me. In any case, the two things I mentioned is such an easy fix, there is such a spirit of genuine love and care over this cozy little cottage, I just know the owners will repair as soon as they read this review. read more

This place was awesome. Just what your looking for when you want to stay in town near the river and centrally located to everything. The price was right and and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was sweet! We were in unit #2. It was very clean with a separate living area, small kitchen separated by a nice bar with stools to eat on or just hang out at and drink and talk or play cards. The A/C was brand new and very nice. They have a nice little cottage in the back. The nice couple that was staying there let me take a peak and it looked very nice and roomy with a separate full kitchen with dining table and chairs and a bedroom. I would definitely recommend this place. The river is right out the front door and the town right out the the back. Very nice. read more
