Over multiple weeks I had to go to the hospital almost daily to visit a family member. Parking was easy, check in at the main lobby was fast and easy. I know that they can get busy when checking in, but luckily every time I went, there was never more than 6 people in front of me in line. All of the nurses and the doctors, the physical therapist, the receptionist, working at check-in, everyone, working in the cafeteria, the security guards by the doors, everything and everyone was so nice. At no point in time did we feel unwelcome or like we were bothering people.

The space looks bare but once we added centerpieces and curtains that the venue staff took care of, it was beautiful! They were so flexible in our decorating and bringing in food and alcohol. Only concern is that because they were so busy, we had to ask for things multiple times before getting a response and I asked for a podium 3 times but it was ultimately forgotten. It definitely wasn't a deal breaker though and I'd utilize this space again for an event!

The software made it difficult to not only sign up to volunteer, but to sign in, as well as track my time and print out my hours. I had to call to sign up and had to sign in on paper, listing my personal information on a paper sign in sheet viewed by others, then wait for staff to input and print my hours. Staff had to print my hours for me. I feel that if they had a better software program, more people would sign up.

S T A F F: Cheerful, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the programs that are being offered at the BTB facility. The staff are very professional and also really down to earth too. S E R V I C E S: Aside from the archery program, I've yet to check out their other programs, but looking forward to checking out their aquatics program when the weather warms up a bit. Right now its about to be December...and its frigidly cold! E X P E R I E N C E: I recently joined the competitive Break the Barriers Archery Team. I used to shoot archery when I was able-bodied, yet I had to overcome some life-changing hurdles to relearn my beloved sport of archery after a freak occupational accident that caused severe vision loss. Through the coaching services at Break the Barriers, I was able to enjoy this sport again. Presently, I traverse my world using a guide cane while being supported by adaptive technology, four acute senses, and random gourmanding blunders. Overall, I have enjoyed the camaraderie that I've received from both my challenged athlete and able-bodied teammates. Everyone from the BTB archery program, staff and participants have been very respectful, supportive, and sometimes hilarious. It's nice to feel like I'm a part of something where "disability" divides us apart.

My first time visiting Catholic Charities Thrift Shop near downtown Fresno today. I have not gone…read morethrifting in a long time. I have some special (to me) items that I want to donate but I wanted to see the shop first. Everything was very nice and organized and items were displayed well, and treated respectfully. I could tell the staff takes a lot of pride in their work. As one other reviewer shared, this is also a store that is serving the community. While I was there I observed the staff providing clothing and other items directly to those in need, (via a voucher -so all very well organized). I made a small purchase and the check out team carefully wrapped up my 4 glasses to ensure they made it home safely and I was very touched by their kindness. I hope others will consider shopping here and also donating their treasures to Catholic Charities. I still have quite a few things from my parents home that I have had a hard time letting go of, but after visiting, I feel the items will be appreciated and handled kindly and may help make a difference.
