What a fab shop! I Love Vintage, indeed!!…read more The Mr & I were walking to our brunch destination when we had taken a wrong turn & ended up passing by, right as they were opening. I saw a Cartoon Dress being wheeled out to a sidewalk display & soon as I saw this dress, I knew it had to be MINE Noting where this shop was, we returned that afternoon & there was a huge crowd & a waiting list for the dressing room - an actual waiting list I loved this concept - the girl helping us took my dresses so we could continue browsing & then she came to find us when it was my turn to model my finds That cartoon dress was sheer awesomeness! I also found another 1920s-style dress that was hand-beaded & too lovely to pass up Best part is that they participate in VAT free shopping so I got my taxes back! Happy to also find out they have a website & ship all over the world so I'll be keeping my eye on this shop going forward!

If your a big fan of vintage clothes, then I would recommend you stopping through this store near Prinsegracht. They have a collection of Brand New Vintage items from the roaring1920's, 1940's, 1950's and 1960's style. You can also purchase retro clothes here as well too. They have a wide variety of unique items to get dolled up for any event. It's a wonderful store with plenty of clothes and accessories to browse through. I notice some vintage shops in Amsterdam can be a bit pricey but the list of Vintage Shops that I am yelping about prices are pretty reasonable and moderate.

This lovely store for woman is stuffed with clothing, accessories like bags, knee socks and jewelry and even more like vintage tea cups and other cute stuff for your home. The clothing here is very feminine and girly. All kinds of colorful dresses, tops and skirts with flower prints, lace and ribbons. I absolutely love it. They also have a huge selection of knee socks, very lovely and a lot of them important from Japan (even a few Lolita/harajuku style ones!). They socks aren't cheap but if you wear skirts all the time, like I do, sometimes you just need a pair of nice knee socks ;) There is much to see in the place. Jewelry, bags and cute antiques are everywhere. The shop is actually bigger than it might seem from the outside. This is really a must visit if you like dresses, flowers and feminine stuff.

There are many of course, so this quest will not end soon. Last week I went to Vind-It Vintage. It's a cute little vintage store. The shop is not big but, like with so many vintage shops, the place is filled with so much stuff. You can definitely spend some time hunting for treasures in this place.

The owner was nice and helpful, and so far to me this store has the best layout of all the vintage stores I've reviewed in Amsterdam. She had this great old air conditioner, and other antique furniture to help display the clothing. Most of the clothing looks to be from the 50's-70's, lots of lace, leather, fur, cute jumpsuits, vintage swimsuits, dresses, and other great color contrasting clothes, accessories, boots and shoes, hats, purses, a few blankets and glasses frames. She offers quality over quantity. There is a good amount of items to look through, but you don't feel overwhelmed shopping here. Price wise, just to give you an idea, the boots I tried on were 19€ and a really nice top I tried with lace details was 35€. Customer service goes a long way, and I think that added to the good feeling I had while shopping here.

The shop is very well decorated and if you are into vintage styles this is the place for you. The stuff here is really nice and put together so it all looks so cool. When I go here I really want to buy a lot! Untill I see the prices... The tables, chairs, little paintings and vases are cute but they are so overpriced! I like hunting in thrift stores and on flea market and I buy my stuff for wayyyy less than they sell it here. So for me this place is for inspiration but not for buying. But since this is such a cute shop, they will still get my 4 stars. 3 stars is a bit to low for them. I can imagine you'll buy your stuff here when you are to busy to search markets and have a bigger budget.
