Dallas / Fort Worth National Public Radio! 90.1 KERA is the source for information in the DFW area. They are mostly listener supported, so if you listen in, be sure to contribute during their pledge drives. My favorite thing about this station is the Texas Matters show. It's syndicated across all the National Public Radio stations in Texas. It's about all things going on in the Lone Star State. I've been to other states, and have never heard a state specific public radio show for any other state. During pledge drive week, I tend to tune my radio to another station, because I get tired of listening to them beg for money. It's nice that they've changed the format recently. They've been cutting off the pledge drive short if they have raised the amount of money needed. It's nice how KERA changes up the programming on a really regular basis. Each show is at maximum, about an hour long. They don't play any regular commercials, more like Public Service Announcements. Check it out- it's on the left side of the dial! read more

never donate to kera again!!! the past week they had 'fall fundraiser' and behind by the end of weekend. so five people (krys boyd, sam baker, justin martin, vp: jeff ramirez, and host of the american life ira glass start attacked for those listen but not donate listeners. they did this non-stop on weekend. but they did another one fundraiser on monday, it seems closer to their goal. but i never heard they 'appreciated' listener. such a disgusting company!!! never never donate to them again!!! read more
