Just hope you're not price gouging. From $195 to $295. Come on now and I just got a brand new heating unit put in.

Closed offices. Long hold times. Zero online response. What type of utility has no physical offices?

William T Young Library

I never attended UK so I rarely come to this library. I stopped by the other day to study with my…read morecousin and best friend and it was great environment to work in with them. William T. Young library has 5 floors with about 5-6 cores (another word for the different sections they have inside the library). It's a massive library, and definitely has a Hogwarts feel to it. We were on the 5th floor, sat in a very open area. All the tables were occupied in our area but it wasn't overcrowded. We were able to talk and it didn't seem like we were disturbing anyone around else as we were catching up. It also wasn't cold inside the library, which was great because that means I never have to worry about bringing a blanket with me next time I work here again. The chairs, although wooden, were actually pretty comfortable and being surrounded with the right people, time flew back quickly. UK also has a great guest wifi that you can access easily by creating a quick account. You're allowed to connect up to 5 devices on that wifi account. No student ID needed to get in, so definitely looking forward to working here again.

I loved going to the William T. Young Library to study. I have been to almost every floor to study,…read moreand I love how convenient the area is for any of your study needs. I like how the floors get quieter as you work your way up. I really enjoy the variety of places to sit, and the whiteboards are provided. The staff and resources make it easy to settle in and stay productive for hours. The only thing keeping it from a five-star rating would be the noise. I usually rely on the 4th floor for quiet studying, but on one visit, a group was being loud and inconsiderate of the people around them, which made it hard to concentrate. I was able to push through, but they should have gone down to a lower level. Overall, it's a fantastic library and my go-to spot for studying. I'd definitely recommend it.

Early Saturday morning I discovered water flooding the laundry room of my significant other's…read moretownhouse and realized the water heater was leaking. I turned off the water supply rendering the condo with no water. Now what? Who do I call in Lexington, a town I'm not that familiar with much. She called her sister in Versailles but her recommendation of a past plumber she had used previously was closed for the weekend. So I did a search on Yelp first, skipping over a couple of plumbers with some not so good reviews and found Bluegrass advertised as being 24/7 and Shonda C.'s review listed first. She is in my friends list and I trust her reviews. I also saw photo's of the business owner and his family, plus some of his past work, indicating to me I was looking at an honest man. But to be sure, I utilized BBB for a background check and found zero complaints in the past year, an A+ rating and that they were BBB Accredited. So I gave them a call. Ron answered the phone at 7:52 am on a Saturday. This was a huge indicator to me I was going to be doing business with a good company. He told me he had one customer ahead of me but that he would be over between 11:30-12:30 and that he would call thirty minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He called me back at 10:26 am and arrived in 15 minutes. He assessed the work to be done, quoted a price, then left to pick up a new water heater and associated parts & pieces and arrived back around an hour later. I doubled checked with my sister, who owns five houses, on his quoted price and found he came in little bit less than her prediction. Ron and his son, who was helping him, installed a new water heater, and upgraded the water pipes and gas line, along with new valves on both, to meet today's codes. He completed the work in two and a half hours. We were completely 100% satisfied with the work, his timeliness, consideration of cleanliness and knowledge of his trade. Would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing needs.

Ron came out and cleared the pipe in no time, left no mess, and charged a fair price. He was super friendly, nice guy. Glad we could hire a locally owned small business that cares.
