I have been duped!!! This review comes as a result with my personal experience with Kentucky Singles. They can be persuasive. They know how to work their psychology on people. They know how to twist the facts in their favor. They know how to pressure you into signing so many papers all at once your head spins and you sign without reading what you are signing. Everything that you sign is in their favor. The non-refundable payment, the service that is not delivered and the phone calls that are not returned or messages not responded to, the time lapse without any communication or update. The spiel about the wonderful gentlemen on their database are so eager to meet females. is just that...a spiel.. There are no guys on the list. And then there is the obligation that each member is required to do. MEET the guys. Wow. Who are these guys? Was a background check performed? Are they educated? Are they personable? Are they emotionally or psychologically stable? How about their financial stability or will I end up with a stalker or a scammer? Kentucky Singles does not offer this guarantee. But they ask you,,,it is your obligation.... to go and meet their referrals at your own risk. WOW. I want my money back. I do not need their lousy service if they pick homeless guys off the street to introduce to me. They offer no guarantees of any sort. They say they do a background check, but do they? They take your credit card as a form of ID at the onset of the interview. After I filed a complaint with the BBB, then I started to receive emails and phone calls from them. They also asked that I call their client relations. I am not one to get into a discussion over the phone. Too many miscommunication and misinterpretation occur. I asked that they email me and send me what they would like to discuss so i can document the conversation. They still keep calling. I finally got an offer. They want to take 50% of what I paid them for doing nothing. I say, they refund my money in full. What does the public say out there...? No service, no delivery of service per contract, and no referrals for a long time. NOT ONE. So...if there is a contract, is it binding only for clients to pay the fee? Is it not also binding on them to perform the service that i paid for? Or do they abscond with my money because i signed a piece of paper that says, payment is non-refundable? My word. Absolutely do not waste your time and money on this place. I had came out of an abusive relationship. I was in court because my ex had almost killed me and I had an order of protection. The last thing in my life I needed was to date but I was alone, vulnerable and didn't have much but a credit card. I went to this place and got suckered into giving them over thousands of dollars. I was not in the right mind to be dating or making those types of decisions. I was honest but they took complete advantage of it. I think they sat me up with three dates. They were completely incompatible. The last one was an alcoholic and had similar issues to my ex. This place should be ashamed of their vulture like behavior. Don't give these people a dime. I scheduled an appointment, very excited about the prospect of meeting a match well suited for me. My appointment was stalled for 1.5hrs, while I sat in an office waiting for my professional match maker to interview a man that was late. I tried to be patient hoping doing so would benefit my interview. My match maker, seemed scattered brained. She was unable to use her computer to present, print, anything. Tried to sell me on beautiful abused women that have been in bad relationships their whole life. Wants me to lie to potential dates, and tell them I want marriage. Expresses that she will make passionate love to her boyfriend as soon as she gets home. Proceeds to take phone calls, personal phone calls during my interview. Does not seem to understand anything about me and is anything but professional. She then proceeds to push dollar figures printed on a laminate card in front of me. She gives no explanation of the format, process, what the services provide, or what metrics they use to match clients. No, confidence on my part, at this point. Then, she uses poor hard sell tactics.... $6000 is the base package, 8 dates, 6 mths, no visual or distance knowledge of the potential match ahead of time. No guarantee of matches over periods of time. After I scoff, she tell me how beautiful I am and offers a $2000 dollar package, if I agree to pay immediately, limited time offer. When I ask questions she infers that I am arguing and that beautiful women just chunk down cash, I should do the same if I want love. A Professional Match making service would be worth $2000. An incompetent matchmaker who doesn't seem to know or care about the type of person I am....using hard sell tactics. Zero If you have a good service and are selling love. It should be easy, I should feel excited about the possibilities. Give me a day, answer some questions, I would have joined, even after a lousy interviewer. I never make rash decisions, I always ask questions and hard sell tactics are an instant red flag. I left 3hrs later, upset and felt like it was a total sham. Good luck, I hope you find love. I have no clue who these people are nor am I having any luck getting rid of them. I get calls constantly regarding my account at this place and I didn't even know they existed until a few months ago when the calls started. I've had my number for a couple of years so I know it's not something I signed up for. Also, from reading other reviews while searching for a way to get rid of these people, my advice to you is run now. This is a complete scam. I met two different men they recommended. One had a open sore that covered 1/2 of his face. The other cried during our meeting. I wish I could give this less than one star. It reminds me of the old days when you joined a gym, they don't want to help you, they just want your money. I got this whole song and dance about how they match people personally, they don't use computers. I was told the "coaches" and the "matchmakers" "work closely together." After they got my money, they tell me that the coaches do not "interfere" with the matchmakers. I asked one of the matchmakers about her experience for the job and she told me she applied as an admistrative assistant and they hired her as a matchmaker! Certainly very well-qualified. In a 7 month period of time, they matched me with a grand total of three people. THREE OF THE WORST DATES I HAVE EVER BEEN ON IN MY LIFE! For the first time in my life, I was literally embarrassed to be seen with the man they sent me out with tonight. They will not tell you a name or show you a photo before the meeting, so you "don't have any preconceived notions." Let me tell you, an obese man with some of the worst teeth I've ever seen (can we say snaggle-tooth?) is not someone I would EVER be attracted to. We could have both been saved from complete mortification had I just seen a photo. I don't expect a guy to be gorgeous, but bad teeth are just plain poor hygiene. For me, it's hard to even carry on a conversation with a person with bad teeth. It kind of made me sick to my stomach. I am giving ONE star only because there are no lower choices!!! If a ZERO was an option that is the correct earned rating! This is the most crooked, unethical place I have EVER been unfortunate enough to walk into. PLEASE STAY AWAY. The "people" that scam here are absolutely horrible and unbelievable!!! It's a scam that could actually be on DATELINE. This front needs to be closed down. The employees are scammers who have been trained yo say the same 4-5 sentences over and over, to talk over anything you say and to trick people into signing papers. If you try to get your money back you are demeaned, yelled and screamed at, threatened and bullied!!! It was UNBELIEVABLE!! Legal action should be taken against these scammers!!! Oct. 23, 2017 Well, I'm very glad I got out of that without adding insult to injury. I, out of curiosity by following their ads that kept coming up on my facebook page, went to the Kentucky Singles web site, and went through their questionnaire only to never be contacted by anyone from there. Not a single email to verify that I had used their web site and provided them my personal information, not a single follow up phone call either, nothing. I called the phone number provide on their home web page to talk with someone about my profile and when I heard the out going greeting, (if you want to call it that), I just hung up. If that's the "environment" they want to create then they can leave me out of it. I'm glad I didn't get too deep into that pool of people. Total scam. Just call and listen to their outgoing greeting to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Creepy! Especially now that I've read all the negative feed back from other dissatisfied customers. I guess for all of the dissatisfied customers that got involved with that mess, they must have met the "minimum yearly earnings" requirement in order to get their feet in the front door. When they ask the personal question, "what is your occupation?", and, "how much do you make?", I thought that those were unnecessary questions to ask up front. I guess it's so they can charge more based on income? I'd be interesting to know what they charged on a person to person basis. I'm an intelligent person, and my personal income should be the last of requirements to be used as a means of "compatibility" for meeting like minded people. Sorry I don't make a lot of money, but that doesn't mean they should exclude or discriminate people with less income. I got the feeling they discriminate against people that make less than average.
