I got 10 bucks out of a whole stack of movies and manga and was told I could have gotten 50 bucks store credits showing how they KNOW their cash back prices are awful. Mind you these weren't obscure or poor quality, they were recent movies like Batman 2022 and popular mangas like Tokyo Ghoul. On top of that, they are the most sexist and transphobic people I've ever had the misfortune of shopping from. A friend of mine had to quit because they were told they lived in a fantasy world after being asked their pronouns. On top of that, if you're a woman that works there, you won't get a raise when all the men at the store do. I got less than a dollar out of all I gave them (about 10 movies and 10 manga) and I know for a fact they sell manga for 3 dollars a piece. Total scammers. Do not shop here.

We really lucked out as I found multiple records in my wish list, and my punk-rock teen found some rare finds with Green Day and Panic at the Disco (both of those were higher priced than I would have liked). They offer insultingly low payouts, no matter the quality or value of your books. I recently brought in several thick, high-quality books and was given barely anything for them. The pricing process is completely opaque, with no explanation of how they determine value. To make things worse, customer service is awful. The employees seem uninterested and dismissive, acting as if they're doing you a favor by taking your books off your hands. There's no negotiation, no respect for sellers, and no reason to bring your books here unless you want to be ripped off. Save yourself the frustration--sell elsewhere or donate your books to people who will actually appreciate them!

I was here for a recent three-day author event. They did an amazing job! They have lots of spaces…read morefor large and small meetings/presentations, and their full-service restaurant catered two wonderful evening receptions. The store itself is very-well organized, with many comfy seats for reading and socializing, including a lovely fireplace area. Their lower level houses their huge children's section, and I could have spent all day there. Associates were friendly and helpful, and they had a lot of fun, kitschy, book-related things, too.
