First, it can get very crowded along the road (there is no official parking lot). Be sure to pack your patience. If you arrive mid-afternoon, more spaces near the entrance may open. Second, no public restrooms are available. So, plan accordingly. Third, the middle falls are easiest to access if you're here for a short time. Overall, it was a nice place for a quick visit. However, Buttermilks Falls are not as impressive as other Vermont locations with swimming holes such as Bartlett Falls or Warren Falls. The latter is particularly scenic with a high cliff jump that is for brave teenagers and adults only. The state of Vermont is blessed to have so many natural swimming areas!

Very cold . The first dip was tough ! Later once you get use of it , it felt a bit better . Pathway was a bit crazy , in some places .it is about a 2 mile walk but we just went not too far : .. the lower and middle falls is also accessible from car parking lots outside . Parking is outside and sometimes you have to park 5-8 mins away from the falls . Not much of restrooms around . Lots of dogs in the water :) It was an amazing tint though ! Loved it . 5 stars !

So I could brush my teeth there and do my dishes there and fill my water bottle there. The bathroom is a bathroom house. 2 showers and 4-5 toilets, 2-3 sinks. (I am forgetting how many now.) The lake is beautiful! The sunsets over the lake are beautiful! You can rent a boat and go out on the lake. Lots and lots of folks here with their RVs. Lots of cabins for renting. I didn't see any tents being used on the tent camping grounds while I was there. The little store was stocked with so many wonderful things - tourism trinkets, practical things for camping. I bought myself a flashlight because I forgot to bring one on my trip. It was corroded (everything around here is so humid), and they replaced it with a new one that works the next day. They also have ice cream in the store. I need ice cream. It's one of my basic needs. There is also firewood. One of the rules of the campground is that if you bring your own wood to your site, it needs to be from Vermont or you can't burn it. My dogs loved this campground too. I am so glad to have found a good place to stay with my dogs while traveling. I loved all the trees at the campground. It was really nice to be there. Also, my cabin didn't have bedding. I had to use my own sleeping bag and fold a bunch of clothes to be my pillow. I hadn't expected that. One negative : I don't think they clean the cabins in between guests. My floor was dirty. And by dirty, I mean: it had caked on dirt. It's become basically a dirt floor. So dirty. It's camping, so there's that. I have never encountered such a dirty floor at a KOA though, before. I was pretty surprised. My dog threw up the last morning i was there, and I had my Clorox wipes with me, so I cleaned it up. The part where I cleaned up his dog throw up - that part of the floor is now clean. What a contrast to the rest of the dirt floor. I wish they had the new KOA feature - where you can rent a dog pen to be outside your cabin. That would have been so handy for me. I had to get their harnesses and leashes on a LOT and it would have been nice to sit out on the front porch without having to hold my dogs on their leashes. I bought some weird plastid rope at the camp store, and that helped a little. It would have been nicer to have a pen, though.
