Everything from building Legos, making robots, science center show, etc. You can even check out Kindles now. The ladies at the front desk are great if you need help with anything. This is my favorite branch in the HC library system. Freshly remodeled, they have opened up the…read morespace and added more PCs and reading areas. A good selection of titles with various formats available although CDs are no longer available at this branch. That said, you can request a CD hold for pickup at the Abingdon branch. They will also order/request items they don't carry in the Harford County system from Baltimore for example. Also nice to be have the option to pick up your reserve items at the window. Most of the branches are open Sundays from October to April. I've always had a great experience with all of the staff at the various branches.

I had been purchasing books online through thrift retailers, but a friend suggested borrowing them from the library instead to save money. After browsing the library's website, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection of newly released memoirs available. I'm now saving a significant amount, and the three-week borrowing period is generous--especially with the option to renew if there are no holds. The library itself is spacious, bright, and very welcoming. While I haven't fully explored it yet, it appears to have dedicated areas for children and teens. In addition to books, I noticed they offer DVDs and have far more computers than I remember from the library I used to visit in Montgomery County decades ago. The staff I interacted with while setting up my library account and locating newly released memoirs were both knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciate the convenient exterior features, including a book drop located right out front and a parking lot with an awning that provides coverage for cars. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with what this library has to offer and the welcoming service I've received so far.

I champion all libraries and we should be flooding them to take advantage of the clubs, panels, classes, and other resources. Today I checked out the Carmelo Anthony exhibit which has been extended to the 19th of January. It's completely FREE! It was truly a great exhibit and so amazing to see and relearn about so many pivotal points in his career, community impacts and soundtrack to his life and career. You also can sign up for a Melo library card (limited edition)!! I think this is a great initiative to get people into the library again and reintroduce why the library is an amazing place to be!

I come to this library primarily to use the study rooms which are nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a white board inside of them as well. My favorite part of this library is the display of African American baseball artifacts on multiple levels. It shows how important, valuable and the great contribution African Americans players made to the sport of baseball. Park on the garage level.....maybe on floor 3 of the garage which had a small bridge to enter the library directly. Also, The community college shares the upper floors of this library as well which includes larger study rooms and an entire computer lab. The staff is really helpful as well.
