Pretty standard "clubhouse" inside with some merchandise, food, drinks/bar, etc. Scott Lake is always one of my first choices for places to golf locally; good value for the quality of the course!

The stock the owner has, especially of hard to find discs, are all reasonably priced - no mark ups. Additionally, the owner has a large stock of disc golf accessories. The accessories are also very plentiful and from a wide variety of brands. The owner himself loves to talk disc golf! You can spend quite a large amount of time in the store without even looking at discs and just having great conversations with the owner. Cannot wait to return in person or online!

Nestled in a park surrounded by suburban area, this park is a great place to spend an hour throwing discs. With nearly all holes less than 300 ft, a great round here will net you 10 down. Not much risk, not much opportunity for trouble, the park is a good place to throw a round after work. Not quite as fun as Riverside or Brewer, Old Farm is probably the 3rd best course in the GR area. And for a littl extra challenge, try hole 18 from the top of the storage buliding located straight behind the T-pad.

I don't really disc golf but I do like going to check out the parks and walk around while Nate and…read moreour friends play. We went to Garfield park on a sunny and breezy day recently. The park is huge! There are at least two different parking lots for the park - one is close to the first disc golf hole, and one is not. Guess which one we picked, haha. We trekked over to the first hole and started our journey. I noticed one bathroom -not sure if there were more than one but the park is so big it could maybe use a second. The Garfield Park neighborhood association office is located in the park, and there's a nice free library outside it - The Black Book Exchange Box. I loved the diversity of the titles and authors inside (I did not take any books). Parts of the park looked a little "under construction" when we were there - they are redoing the splash pad but the playground is open. The tennis courts didn't have any nets up and they were overgrown with weeds. There are shuffleboard courts but they didn't look usable. The bathroom was pretty clean and stocked with toilet paper. There are picnic tables, benches, and picnic pavilions. It was nice to see people out enjoying this neighborhood park while we were there. Parts of the park are very close to neighbors' homes, so be sure to be aware of the park boundaries. I'd say half of the disc golf course was in the shade and the rest was in full sun, so bring sunscreen and water. There are a couple of holes that are very close to the street - a few discs actually went into the street and one all the way across the road! Be careful out there. Overall it was a nice way to spend a couple hours on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I have been a volunteer in the past, but now have the privilege to enjoy this space as a soccer mom. The parking lot situation can get a little crazy on Saturdays, but they try to do the best they can to direct traffic. The lines are always freshly painted a top of recently mowed grass and I've come to enjoy the reliability of this well run, children centered, organization. As someone who knew nothing about soccer, I've learned so much volunteering and watching my kids mature and grow in their love for this sport. Very thankful to have such a well run AYSO chapter in our area. Thank you, everyone, for all that you do!

The course is super wet; well, it's rained 3 of the last six days... nothing is getting in The way of having a fun, relaxing day golfing with friends. Nothing but lawnmowers. One in particular. He saw us and kept on mowing until he found a satisfactory place to stop. This happened on 4 different holes! The same guy! It was really annoying, especially when he ran over one of our balls. But, the thing that made me vow to never return was when I was coming up to chip onto the green and he stopped his mower between me and the flag. I waited, staring holes into him and nothing. I raised my hands and shrugged my shoulders, he did the same back to me. I did it again and waved my hand in a "move" signal. This guy gives me the come-on signal!!!! I wanted to just pick my ball up and drive back to Okemos right then and there. I was furious. Never again Morrison Lake.
