Shopped @ Kens IGA stores for decades. Decent prices, good variety, great meats. Conveniently close to my neighborhood. Can honestly say I was spending $300. or more per week. Even thru the covid mess the stores were well stocked, prices gradually rose, but were still stable, etc. Haven't shopped there for many months now... Over the past yr or so I have seen variety, quality, & prices just fly out the window. The prices have more than doubled, quality of fresh produce & meats are terrible, (tasteless & tough), & shelves are heavily stocked with the store brands or less. No point in my spending $ on food that gets thrown out.. Anyway.. Stopped into the hwy 80 store yesterday for some hamburger buns & to see if things were getting better. Well, they had hamburger & hotdog buns.. Fresh from the freezer.... Still frozen. I left. read more

Where do I start let's see buyer's beware check for expired products like milk that has been expired since July 19th today is the 24 th didn't pay attention to the date and I drank a large glass. Now I feel sick. When buying produce pay attention it's also expired, Hamburger buns expired and the greens that are prewashed they are also expired. Eggs expired .Now I'm going to shop here for the meat department only until I find out the meats are expired also. read more
