As a reference, my mother never took her ring off, so I thought that's what you were to do. My wedding band wraps around my engagement ring. Over the years (28 this August) I lost 3 of the 4 rubies, and the last time I had it in for repair, I have pretty bad arthritis so I had it enlarged with a way to tighten it so it wouldn't come off, but fit over my knuckle. The previous jeweler only attached one side to the ring itself, and it cracked right in the center on the side that faces your palm, I guess is the way to describe it.. I do have before and after, but not of the crack. HIGHLY recommend! So happy with my ring!

This family owned business is located centrally on Main St in Mount Joy in a large, stand alone,…read moresomewhat elegant building with ample parking. Upon entry it is a skylit setting of a large number of jewelry display counters. Staff are amazingly attentive and knowledgeable. They offer something to drink and ask whatever they can do to make you feel comfortable enough to spend big bucks on beautiful jewels, watches and other elegant fittings. This is a beautiful store with beautiful expensive things. They are full service providing everything from jewelry cleaning, repair, replacement, sizing, whatever is needed to keep your jewels looking their finest. This is not free. These are high end professional jewelers who know what they are doing. Replacing a watch battery is $15. Making a ring a size bigger, about $125. Replacing a tiny stone and resizing, reinforcing prongs, about $225. If you love estate pieces as I do, there are 3 cases. A gold filigree type emerald ring surrounded by peridots was $1500. A large opal in a gold setting, $1600. A 1960s pink opal, $600. I have to say that skilled jewelers are harder to come by. To stock watch batteries when people don't even wear watches anymore, except us old folks, is no longer a Walmart counter service. If I was in the market for high end jewelry and wanted the lifelong service for my investment, I would be very secure doing business here. This is not a mall jewelry store with bright lights making every diamond seem to call your name. This is a first class, no kidding high end place where you get what you pay for. I took a few photos but was worried about appearing to be casing the joint, so no actual offerings photographed. You will just have to go and see for yourself!

They brought in someone to work there and he is absolutely terrible. I went there twice since he started working there and have had a bad experience with him both times. All he wants to do is tell you about how great he is and what he has done and how wrong you are with everything you do. I'm sorry that what works for me didn't work for you 30 years ago. It is annoying to have to deal with him. This place has lost a lot of credibility to their reputation from the local numismatic community since he started. It's a shame, but it's generated due to this guys attitude. YOU ARE LOSING BUSINESS BECAUSE OF HIM!!!!

The store is VERY small, but they pack a ton of variety into this little space. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect, but the items are quality, including some great crystals and jewelry. You are always offered a hot cup of tea when you come in, even if you are just browsing. They have various skin care products and the supply of incense is ever changing. One of my favorite things to do is have a custom scent blended, or add a perfume oil to one of their different base options like body wash, massage lotion or hand lotion. There are a bunch of little roller bottles of perfume scents, and once you've picked a favorite, they will add drops of your smell to a scent free base. I use a roller of 3/4 sandalwood to 1/4 tea rose as my regular perfume scent. In addition to perfume oils, they have a supply of essential oils, and the owner Vonnie is a very knowledgeable aromatherapist, which helps if you aren't sure what to pick up. If you are looking for a metaphysical/alternative/new age shop, this is the best one in Central PA.
