I love being able to learn about local farmers, artisans, and experts in town. They offer several options to exchange funds and many of the vendors take multiple payment options. All of the vendors that I've met have been really kind and fair-priced if not sometimes cheaper than big stores. The social media accounts will often tell you what vendors will be at the market each day and I think that can be really helpful! There's free parking which is really nice but the market does get busy VERY quickly. I know the Saturday markets during the summer can be suuuper busy so I'd recommend going early or knowing you may need to walk.

Everyone we encountered that works here was friendly and seemed to like their jobs! We didn't know before we got here but it is Blueberry Festival this weekend and there were blueberry themed drinks and food. They had free samples of blueberry soda, blueberry lemonade, blueberry jam and blueberry buckle and fresh blueberries! We tied all of it and it was all delicious! The lemonade was one of my favorites. We wandered the store for a bit and I think I'll end up taking one of everything I saw. I think I said "oh! I want that!" to AT LEAST 15 things. We had the 2 blueberry special drinks - blueberry lemonade mimosa and the blueberry frosé, we really enjoyed both. To eat we shared the BTB - which was another blueberry special. Brie, turkey and fresh blueberries on sourdough. I really liked it! I wish the blueberries had either been jam or some other sort of spread/compote instead of the whole blueberries. They kept rolling out of the sandwich haha. But the flavor combination was wonderful. The turkey and the sourdough were both grilled, which I made me real happy. Oh! The sandwich came with kettle chips that were the best kettle chips I've ever had - Which reminds me I was going to grab a bag to go and I totally forgot! We also had the Farmer's Daughter pizza which was awesome. Crispy crust on the bottom, but fluffy and light on top. Just the right amount of sauce and the toppings were great. We had the Oreo shake as well, also tasty! It melted quick! It was a pretty toasty day without much breeze. We ordered some donuts and a cinnamon roll to go, I'll have to review those later when we eat them - I'm too full right now! They have a pickle fest coming up next weekend and I want to go back! There was no cost to enter on weekdays, making it a more accessible and fun activity. There is a large area with food, drinks, doughnuts, and other food and accessories. There were all sorts of options for people of any age and palate. I didn't end up picking any fruit but we did get to visit the animals and walk around. I had no idea that they had a variety of animals like cows, goats, and more. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly and there was a lot of available parking. From beginning to end, the entire evening was exceptional. The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was outstanding, and the hospitality was second to none. First, a huge thank-you to Matt and Cindy, the owners, for creating such a special establishment. It's obvious that an incredible amount of pride, thought, and attention to detail goes into everything they do. What truly sets Louise Earl Butcher apart, though, is the way the owners and their team make an evening feel special. We were wonderfully assisted by Whitney, Vicky, and Adam, and I want to recognize each of them for helping make this such a memorable experience. Their friendliness, attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality were exceptional. They helped create an atmosphere where everyone could relax, enjoy the evening, and celebrate the happy couple without worrying about a thing. Great service is one thing; making guests feel genuinely welcome is something entirely different. Whitney, Vicky, and Adam absolutely delivered! Now, let's talk about the food! The menu was spectacular. We started with Kabocha Squash Bruschetta featuring roasted squash, toasted pepitas, and brie on toasted baguette, along with roasted mushroom polenta bites prepared with local mushrooms, shallots, garlic, herbs, and white cheddar. Both were outstanding introductions to the meal. The kale Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, with Parmesan cheese, fresh-baked croutons, roasted tomato, and house Caesar dressing. Then came the main course: the 100% grass-fed beef strip loin roast, served with duck-fat-roasted potatoes, broccolini, tatsoi, bok choy, and house chimichurri. I have enjoyed some excellent steaks and beef dinners over the years, but this strip loin was truly exceptional. It was, without question, one of the best beef dishes I have ever had. The quality of the beef, the preparation, and the combination of flavors made it a standout course that deserves special recognition all on its own. And the dessert? Chocolate crème brûlée with perfectly caramelized sugar and fresh berries. An outstanding finish to an incredible dinner! The beverage selection was equally impressive, including the signature Wisconsin Old Fashioned, the Berry Lemonade Smash, an excellent selection of spirits and wines, and local and regional craft beers. Every detail of the evening felt thoughtfully planned. However, as remarkable as the food was, the true highlight was the atmosphere and the people who made it all happen. There are plenty of places that can serve a good meal. Far fewer can create an experience that makes you remember the evening long after you've left. Louise Earl Butcher did exactly that. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for a wedding celebration. Everything felt comfortable, special, and beautifully executed. Matt and Cindy deserve enormous credit for building a business where outstanding food and genuine hospitality go hand in hand. They have an really incredible selection of local meats, Italian products, and wines from all over. They have a really cool event space connected to the main shop that they host events in or it can be rented out. I've really loved all of the meats I've gotten here and definitely notice the increase in quality and am willing to keep money within local businesses and farms!
