This is my dress-up-in-the-week place and fab for a Thursday evening when the weekend is looming and you want to get in the partying mood. There is muted lighting and Chinese lanterns everywhere and the decor is vibrant red and gold. Choy Hing Village takes customer service to the next level. Before your meal and in-between each course, the waiters provide you with steaming hot hand towels and after your starter, they cleanse your palate with refreshing lemon sorbet- beautiful! The staff are extremely attentive and almost treat you like royalty as they refuse to let you lift a finger to serve yourself. This is nice for a while but you begin too feel slightly ashamed that you are letting another person almost spoon feed you. And the food!!! Mum and I shared the oriental platter which at £9 per head, I thought was a bit steep, even though the chicken skewers and spare ribs were delicious. As a group of three we had sweet and sour chicken, beef satay and the crispy chilli beef which I would encourage all Yelpers out there to try. Choy Hing Village is more than your local Chinese restaurant, it assumes an air of grandeur and you feel almost honoured to be in its presence. We went on a Thursday night and although the majority of the tables were full, this is such a spacious restaurant that diners do not feel crowded at all. Chinese background music adds to the authenticity of the restaurant and you leave feeling happy and relaxed. It is a takeaway to but the experience actually dining here is too nice to miss. Expect to pay approximately £20 per head here and to have a good time.

The restaurant is small (but not cramped), the decor is basic (almost non-existent) and there's the obligatory Chinese music in the background... but you won't notice any of that because the food looks and tastes so good that it steals the show. The generous portion sizes (one serving can easily feed 2 people) are only surpassed by the genius quality and taste of the food. Stand out dishes tonight were the Buddha Parcels on the starter menu, and the Kung Po Chicken & Special Malaysian Satay for the mains. Looking at what other people were eating, and how quiet they were whilst eating it, I'm guessing that pretty much everything on the menu is worth writing about. I'll be testing that assertion over the next 8 months or so as I work my way through the menu! Meals cost about £25 per head including drinks, assuming you are too full after the main course to consider a dessert. I was so full I vowed never to eat again as I left clutching a doggie bag containing what remained of the main course to eat later for supper. As well as the small dining room downstairs (seats about 12), there's also a larger room upstairs - I've not been in it yet, but judging by the size of the party that came in I'm guessing it can hold about 20 upstairs. Staff are friendly, attentive and responsive to your needs - you're not left waiting around wondering where your drink is, etc. Freshly cooked food arrives at your table quickly but calmly, but I saw a note on the menu stating that Dim Sum dishes take a bit longer to prepare. If you know someone who says they don't like Chinese food, this is the place to re-educate them!

Staff were working behind bar, this manager drops a plate of food, yells AT the staff behind the bar picks it back up and (hopefully I'm not sure if he did or didn't serve it) goes upstairs. Disgusting, all the staff were brilliant, except this abusive manager that treats his staff like dirt.

They offer a huge selection of takeaway dishes and free delivery for any orders over £20. However, Lymm Lounge's real strength is its restaurant. For a relaxed, great value meal there aren't many places better in the vicinity. What attracted me to this place were the extensive vegetarian options all clearly labelled on the menu. Although I'm not a vegetarian this makes it a great place to bring people of all food persuasions. The décor is minimal but includes traditionally oriental touches that give the eating area a zen quality, which is reinforced by the excellent staff who are always attentive and friendly. Whilst it's not the best Chinese in the land it's probably the best option within at least 10 miles (I'd recommend the set dinner, which is £20 per head). There's not much I can say against this place: it does exactly what every Chinese restaurant should.

Been going here for as long as I can remember as it's literally across the road…read more It has good days and bad days...on the good days you have great tasting food....on bad days you get chips from the dinner time, salty foo yueng and food that taste the same not matter what variety you ordered. Needless to say despite this we always go back....is it more for convenience...probably yes but if the food was that bad surely we'd stop...right??

My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner after saying we should go for quite some time,…read morewell to say the red flag was raised from the get go was a understatement, to begin when my husband called to book the man on the phone was rude and could not wait to get off the phone, then when we walked in to restaurant we ordered drinks and received the menu which stated 'if you have an allergy please speak to staff who will be more than happy to help' reading the menu there is nothing there to help people with allergies such as listing ingredients, then when the gentleman walked over to take our order my husband who has a nut allergy which send him in to anaphylaxis asked if a sauce had nuts in, the response we got infuriated me, the man simply said we do not cater for allergies, (this should have been stated when booking) the next thing out of his mouth to my husband was terrible, he said you should know, it's your responsibility and if I was you, you should drink your drinks and go, then he said but if you want to risk it, its on you I couldn't believe what I heard, my husband and I got up and left there and then absolutely disgusting customer service and dangerous place for those with allergies, this place is a accident waiting to happen and should be shut down if they can not list the ingredients and cater for allergies or at minimum when taking bookings let them know the place is not safe for people with allergies!

A very small quaint chinese restuarant that is situated on a busy and bustling street on a weekend…read morenight. You could enjoy a delicious meal here and then sample the night life further down the street. The food here is very nice and the staff a lovely. Not much room inbetween tables, so maybe not the place to take noisy children. This restuarant is also quite expensive, although is does adverise a tea time special board and prices. Even though expensive, don't let that put you off at least for a one of special ocassion as you will not be disappointed.
