Customer service is spectacular! Super friendly workers. The ham & cheese croissants were good and the doughnuts were good as well. I think they have stayed in business so long because they have good doughnuts and service. If you are a doughnut lover like me you may feel/say you have had better, but I went back today & got a glazed old fashioned and it was good & fresh. This donut shop has been my go-to since back when I was a small fry. Our dad would wake up a little earlier than everyone else to buy a big beautiful pink box of a dozen personally chosen DELICIOUS Kenny's donuts. I would say the variety is broad and classic to most America style donuts shops.. (they also have on-donut goodies like croissants, cookies, bagels, etc.) so from the boston cream and jelly filled to the apple fritter, maple bar or even cake donuts I believe they're crafted exceptionally well and for over 24 years! They serve many drinks from bobas to shakes to coffee and even refrigerated options. It's nothing fancy necessarily like all the new donut shops n cafes opening up. This is your classic small town donut shop, it's ye ol' reliable. I'm not gonna say I havent had a bad donut here. My mistake though...and I've learned. Since they close at 5, An hour before they close is usually not the best time to go bc there stock of the more delicious classics isn't being replenished and what little they do have sometimes tends to dry up. Which is understandable. *Major tip folks*~ Best time to go! Is from when they open to about 4 hours before they close. Sometimes when I would still go 1-2 hrs before closing. The lady (yes I never learned her name) would give me an extra donut or a couple donut holes which I always appreciated and has encouraged me to come back for more and much earlier sometimes :) So please if you try it, write a review, take a good. I stopped here on the way home to grab a glazed twist. I walked in and no one was in the store and no one was up front. The doorbell rang, but still no one came up. Finally, just as I was about to walk over to the cash register and yell "hello," this middle aged Asian lady comes out with her phone in her hand, an ear piece in her ear, and head still down. She's fully invested in this phone conversation. So much so that she didn't even look up, yet she clearly knows I'm there. Why else come out?? She walks up to where I'm standing on the other side of the counter and says something in her language to the person on the phone, still continuing her conversation and not acknowledging me! At this point, I'm getting irritated. She could have told whoever it was to hold the fuck on, while she does her job (HELLO!!) and helps her customer! I would have even been in a better state had she AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGED ME!! Instead, she continues her call and fucking ignores me!!! Finally, I interrupted her and said, "Do you want me to come back or what??!!!" She shoots me this irritated look and then says, "What do you want??" as she grabs the tongs. I said, "You know what? Nothing anymore!" Then I said that she needed to work on her fucking customer service skills! I turned to walk out and as I turned back, while pushing the door open, she had already disappeared in back. Clearly, she didn't want to be bothered. Fuck that bitch and this donut shop. They were a decent alternative to The Donut and I only stopped here because The Donut was closed, but next time I'll just go to Granny's Donuts up on Western and Summerlin if The Donut is closed. I'll buy crack to snort before I stop here, again! Does that solidify that I'm never coming back or what?? Never done crack, but I'd do it before I stop here, again! Clearly there's a consistent problem with their customer service, if you read the other one star review... What was a 4 star review is now a 1 star. I just wrote them a good review a week ago! Now it's not even a week later and obviously their true colors have come out! Glad I went today. Now they get the one star that they deserve! A friend visited us from out of town and brought a box of these over. He read about how great they were and made a stop on his way over. My family is forever indebted to him now, these donuts are ridiculous. $7 for a dozen, which includes these crazy mini cake things that you will seriously eat until you're sick. They claim they're your standard cake donut but they're more like little square loaves of awesome. I'm going to get diabetes one day and it's because I live a few blocks away from Kenny's Donuts. I love that they don't have a ton of base doughnuts (like some places that have 5 different flavors of cake doughnuts--why???)--it's sour cream doughnuts, cake doughnuts, and then filled---it's the fillings and toppings that perfect them. They're a doughnuts shop that knows how to make a great basic doughnut, then finish it off with great glazes and fillings. Their apple fritters come in two sizes and are delightful. Lots of apple, perfect spice and great crispy exterior with nice coating of glaze. Their sour cream doughnuts are a wonderful buttermilk spice tasting fluffy creation. I have always been a fan of this place. My favorie thing here are the ham and cheese croissants. I LOVE them. We used to buy them in cases when I was younger for events like Christmas and Easter and the best part was freezing the leftovers to be eaten for the next 2 or 3 weeks.
