Beyond stoked. Recently got informed of a dismissal on my speeding ticket. I've sought out Ken's services twice now for two speeding tickets, one very serious and the other not so nice and both received the best possible outcome. Ken has been consistent in the quality of service that he provides. He is not only extremely knowledgeable but also personable and witty. Every interaction I have had over the phone, texts and emails has been superb and phenomenal. I have full confidence and faith in this man and his practice. Seriously, whenever someone brings up their traffic law violation, friend or stranger, I recommend Ken. Again thank you for what you do and serving the community! Will be back if something comes up! read more

Update: As I mentioned prior, Mr. Hallum, is the way to go. Before I even received notice that my case for my high speed traffic ticket had been finalized I would have recommended this guy. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and he put every concern of mine at ease. He was extremely straight forward in how the process would proceed and gave me the likely results. He didn't even promise results, he told me what he could do to help my situation, and essentially gave me a likely scenario, and then the best and worst case scenarios as well. I already felt assured to have this burden lifted off my shoulders and that I had only the best looking out for me in my behalf. I had even nearly forgotten about the ticket altogether until Ken reached out saying that my ticket had been DISMISSED. He is worth every penny and allowed me to learn a very important lesson without having to pay the price. Thank you so much Mr Hallum, although I hope I don't find myself in a similar situation anytime soon, I know who I'm hiring if I do!!! read more

Had 2 over-speeding related cases. Ken help me get one case dismissed while for the other one I had to just do the traffic school. For the entire time, ken updated me regularly and answered all my questions very promptly. read more

First time ever thinking of hiring an attorney to fight my speeding ticket so I had my fair share of uncertainty and whether it would be a right decision or not. Ken was very patient in answering all my questions and concerns. Better yet, he explained his process, all the possible outcomes (bads and goods), and what to do for each thoroughly. Since I do not live in Santa Barbara, all of our communications was on text messages or calls, and man, he was also so responsive! So TLDR: An amazing attorney. Don't hesitate to reach out to him :D read more

Found Ken on Yelp and he delivered! He was very honest about my options and did not try to pressure me to purchase his service. I got a speeding ticket in Santa Barbara but I live in LA. Didn't want to pay the fine and do traffic school so I hired him. He gave me a call and we communicated through text and email. He is very responsive and answered all my questions. Got the best Christmas present when he told me my case had been dismissed! read more

If you want a lawyer that knows his stuff and takes care of all the logistics so you don't have to, Ken is your guy! Well worth my money. I was on my 4th ticket, in danger of getting my license suspended so I called the best traffic lawyer I could find in Santa Barbara. Sure enough he lives up to his name. I got the ticket dismissed! Thanks Ken! I wish I had called you sooner for my other tickets. read more

Very strong communication and informative. Explained the legal process thoroughly and answeres all my questions. When he says he will call at a certain time he calls on the dot. Highly recommend. read more

Ken is the best choice in SB if you need representation in any type of traffic case. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to contact. After he took on my cases I was able to forget about them while Ken took care of everything. All 3 of my cases that I hired him for were dismissed and my insurance never suffered. Thank you! read more

Don't waste your time with this unprofessional law firm. I submitted a web form first and then proceeded to call three times. Every single time, the receptionist said the exact same thing "let me transfer you to the attorney's voicemail." Not a single time did anyone call me back over the course of three weeks. My assumption is that this is either a fraudulent company that does not actually exist, or they simply do not want my business. Either way, I absolutely do not recommend nor would I ever attempt to do business with this law firm again. Beware. read more

I reached out to Ken Hallum regarding a traffic citation I had received. Due to the circumstances that led to my citation, I wasn't sure if it would be worth taking the matter to court and wanted an expert opinion. I filled out the contact form on his website, immediately received an email and responded with a summary of the incident, along with a video from the camera on board my motorcycle. Ken sent me a message within a couple hours and let me know he would review the case and get back to me. We scheduled a call a couple days out and he was able to provide me with constructive feedback on how to handle my citation (as well as what not to do). Ken was amiable and honest, providing me with favorable options, should I attempt to contest my citation. Although he advised me that it would be in my best interest to take the traffic school route, I'm very appreciative of his time in reviewing my case. No one likes receiving traffic ticket, but it does happen and sometimes it's helpful to receive an expert opinion, such as Ken's. I'll most likely need legal representation again at some point due to my two wheeled endeavors and the inability to not "poke the bear". Without a doubt, I'll be reaching out to Ken Hallum and recommending him to friends and family. Thanks again Ken! read more

I had a speeding ticket of over 25 mph , Mr Kenneth tried trial by written declaration and in person trial and got my ticket dismissed . Wonderful attorney read more

Ken was awesome. Told me how he works, how he will communicate with me, was upfront about the fees I would pay, and what I could expect. Everyone who gets accused of a crime says they are innocent. So, I was innocent of my accused crime, which was the maximum speeding ticket in California(in addition to the officer ticketing me for tint and other minor infractions.) Admittedly my car really helps me to look like a giant tool, it's a new black Subaru WRX that has dark tint and everything is blacked out. I am only slightly less of a tool than my car suggests. I felt like the officer profiled me and ticketed me based on appearance rather than actual infractions. I called Ken based on the other reviews here and he got on my case immediately. He tried to appeal, but unfortunately he needed to go to court. Because of Ken I didn't need to drive all the way to Lompoc, he went to court on my behalf. Like the mighty lion he fought on my behalf and got almost everything thrown out and my fine greatly reduced, with no points. Hiring him saved me a ton of money and he couldn't have been easier to work with. Honestly, thanks Ken. I appreciate your help! read more

Kenneth M. Hallam is a phenomenal lawyer and an asset to anyone who chooses to be represented by him. What I appreciate most about Ken is that he's honest, informative, responsive and has an incredible sense of humor. After receiving my very first ticket (I was falsely ticketed) despite the odds, It was simply about principle, and thanks to Ken, my ticket was dismissed! I highly recommend Ken who is by far worth every penny and more, and the best attorney in town! read more

I highly recommend Ken - not only did he get my case dismissed, but for his expertise and experience, his price was the best I found and he was extremely communicative throughout the entire process. Great experience and outcome. Hopefully I will never need such services again, but if I do, I will absolutely be contacting Ken. Thank you for the great work! read more

Had a pretty severe speeding ticket and I was dead to rights. Ken helped me craft a defense in court and the officer responded with a hilariously detailed account of why I was guilty. My wife and I had a good laugh -- I was absolutely cooked. But somehow, after a few months of persistence (I pretty much forgot about the case because Ken was on top of it), a dismissal letter showed up at my house. Ken was extremely responsive and reliable -- essential qualities that are annoyingly hard to find. Also very professional and proactive with steady hands. He knows the system and will get you the best outcome. read more

Just hire Ken! I can't say how awesome Ken has been. My son had received a traffic ticket and Ken was simply amazing in the entire process. He turned a stressful time into an easy process and was able to get a "Not Guilty" verdict and we couldn't be happier. Extremely reasonably priced and amazing results (Ken also has a great sense of humor!). Again, call and hire him. read more

Mr. Hallum is a one of a kind attorney in my opinion. I have had alot of traffic encounters with law enforcement in the Bay Area and have attorneys up here, but as I ended up getting cited in SB... needless to say I didn't know what to do as I had no trusted attorney down there. Did some research and found Mr. Hallum and decided to give him a call (I'm very picky with the professionals I work with as situations like this could ultimately effect my way of life). Mr. Hallum was thorough in explaining the legal process while still being patient as terminology could be overwhelming. He dumbed it down in a sense, but was very patient and understanding. I decided to hire Mr. Hallum and every step of the way he was informative of the case. He was sure to set the right expectations while narrowing down opportunities and angles to have the case be dismissed. Ultimately the case was dismissed... my record clean, and no points to my insurance company. Hire this man if your case is in the SB area... he knows whats up! Thanks again Mr. Hallum. Hopefully we meet on better terms read more

I live in LA and had a citation just north of Santa Barbara. I had one really lousy attorney and then .... I found Ken!! Ken has the most relaxed & easy going bed side manner. Not only is he authentic and affordable but he was never hurried with me when he was walking me through next steps regarding my citation. He is knowledgable and patient. I honestly can't say enough wonderful things... and ... I haven't even met him!!! All of my case has been handled over the phone with him and he represented me in court. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Ken is a professional with invaluable knowledge with the court system. He's worked on the opposing side at one point so he knows the ins and outs. This is the right guy for the job. I highly recommend this traffic lawyer for any traffic infraction or ticket in Santa Barbara county. He did a wonderful job handling my traffic infraction case and I was found not guilty. Kenneth Hallum for the win! read more

After i got cited with a hefty speeding fine (2 points plus insurance premiums skyrocketing for 3 years due to the nature of the ticket& not traffic school eligible) i contacted Mr Hallum the next day. Spoke over the phone and did a contract with him to represent me on my case. He basically took over and after that it was just a waiting game. After about 4 months back and forth with the traffic court, my fine was reduced to a level where i could attend traffic school minus $400 and keep my record clean which to me was the best that could have happened since i was caught by the officer with a laser gun which is solid accurate and specific to vehicle. Basically by reducing my fine, his services paid for itself and on the plus side by completing traffic school my record is kept clean. Although i hope i never have to use his services again he would be the person i would go directly without hesitation if need be.Thank you Mr Hallum for being direct, straight to the point and getting the burden of this ticket reduced to a slap on the wrist for this time. Lesson learned. read more

Another WIN for Kenneth M. Hallum, attorney-at-law. I was cited for a traffic infraction in an auto accident for which there was no officer on scene. Go figure. Ken is a consummate professional, well versed on multiple levels and knows the system. Ken was readily accessible via text and phone. Following due process, we contested the ticket on written declaration, then by trial de novo. Can you say, "CASE DISMISSED"!!! Many thanks, Ken! read more

Very affable, incredibly knowledgeable, and quite reasonable. I received a speeding citation a few months back on the 155 (serves me right for not having my Waze turned on). I was just going to go to traffic school, but then I found out that since I was a couple of miles over the traffic school threshold, I was ineligible. I never got THAT memo! I called Ken due to his amazing reviews. Admittedly, I was skeptical. Gladly, I was wrong. Ken is very easy to speak with, gives you a thorough review of the process, knows many of the personalities in the jurisprudence system, and responds swiftly to any inquiries. While I hope I won't have to use his services again (no offense to Ken, I just need to lighten my lead foot), I have no hesitation in enthusiastically endorsing Ken Hallum. read more
