So I really contemplated whether or not I should write a review on Yelp for this because obviously I am not proud to have the world know that I was arrested for a DUI, but now that almost two years have passed and I don't have to worry about anything career wise, I really thought I owe it to anyone who has had to go through the whole DUI situation and the amazing attorneys at the H&M Law Firm to spread the word. When I was arrested, I had no clue what to do. I asked some trusted friends and was referred to H&M. I also did my research online and found the best of the best according to my online research. I spoke with a bunch of offices over the phone and then decided to pick 3 to go in and have a consultation with. Let me tell you, the H&M Law Firm was leagues beyond the other offices. They had a very, very modern and up to date system. The other attorneys offices seemed outdated and they seemed to just be so whatevers. Also, I got a weird pushy vibe from some of the offices, which I didn't like. But from minute 1 when I called H&M Law Firm, I was able to speak to an attorney and they were extremely helpful and not pushy. Also, they gave me so much information about the whole processes that it made me feel really comfortable from the get go. My case was kind of tough because I was involved in a car accident and there were some injuries in the other car. So I was very worried about liability and there being a lawsuit, on top of all of my criminal charges that I had to deal with. My attorney got all of my charges reduced and took care of my DMV case so that I got a restricted license right away. I speak of the whole situation so lightly now, but really at the time my whole entire world was crashing and I was facing some pretty harsh stuff. If it wasn't for H&M Law Firm I really don't know what would have happened with my case because I have a friend who had a similar situation happen but a much more minor car accident and they ended up doing jail time and had to take classes for over a year. Nima works magic. Seriously. On a recent road trip up to SB, my poor driving skills decided to make an appearance and I ended up with a speeding ticket for driving 90 in a 65 mph zone. Oops. I wasn't too thrilled about contesting the ticket and/or requesting traffic school (because I for damn sure wasn't taking another point on my record--my insurance is high enough already) since, obviously, I was from out of town. Having to travel back up to SF for a traffic ticket? Not cool. I'm a luxury car driver. Needless to say, my drivers license is my livelihood. One night I got a bit more comfortable with my employer than I should have. Since I have been working this gig for a few years already, we have become pretty good friends. One night when I was driving him, he told me to stop at some bar, and grab a drink before I took him home And we did. Nothing much, but enough to feel a lil buzz. And then I got pulled over. Why would the police pull over a limo driver? Because there was an accident on the road in front of us, and by avoiding the cars, I bumped the one parked on the sidewalk. Police came over immediately. Fortunately my employer knows people. He called the H&M Law firm, and told them who he was and what happened, they said to him not to worry. I was visiting from out of town for a friend's bachelorette party. We had a hotel in downtown and well you know how the west coast works, at the end of the night you eventually have to drive in some form or another. I seriously blame the public transit system. Anyways, I didn't even have a CA drivers license on me. This cop followed our car for 10 minutes until he found some stupid reason to pull us over. They were being such jerks. We were trying to tell them that we were just going back to our hotel but had to move the car because of the parking restrictions. 20 minutes later I was being taken to the police station for a DUI. I was pulled over for not stopping long enough at a stop sign, a stop sign that I actually stopped for. This eventually led to a DUI stop and from there I was put in jail. I did some research on yelp and ended up hiring H&M Law Firm. One of the best things about this law office is the service that you get. I talked to Nima at least 150 times through out my case. Our conversations were between 3 minuets all the way to one hour. I never felt like Nima was in too much of a rush to talk to him, all my questions would always get answered. I also loved mycase. Mycase is great because a lot of the time I was at work and needed to ask a quick question without having to walk in the halls and make sure nobody was listening. With the Mycase software, I would just send Luis and Angie messages and they would respond very very quickly. (Right now this might not make much sense, but once you sign up, you will know exactly what I am talking about when I talk about this Mycase software). I have a clean record and thought I would never even write a review. I have a great job that fortunately I am still working at. There are two reasons why I am writing this review. The first is because I want to express my gratitude to the H&M Law Firm PC, Nima Haddadi and everyone else at that firm that helped save my life. The second reason is because I want people that are in the same situation as I was to have some guidance and hear from a person that was going through the same thing as they were earlier this year. I was wrongfully arrested, and I really feel like the arrest should have never happened in the first place. I was driving home from my friend's house, yes we drank, but I wasn`t drunk. On my way home z police car tailed me a few miles, and eventually pulled me over. The police officer came to the car, asked me where I was going, and if I drank... When I said that I had two beers, he told me to step out of the car. I did, and he made me walk the line, and gave me a breath test. I did the test, and it was .07. Yes, even though I was under the limit he arrested me, and brought me to the station. It was hell. The next morning I was release from jail and found the hm firm on Yelp. I have never been arrested before in my entire life. I made a horrible decision and ended up driving even though I had only two beers in a four-hour period. I was arrested told the officer the truth and it ended up biting me in the ass later. I retained the H&M law firm and they handled both my DMV case and my criminal case. They won my DMV case so my license was never suspended. As far as the court case goes we ended up having to go to four different court hearings and everything that I told the officer that night had been greatly exaggerated - lesson learned! So I ended up actually getting a reckless driving charge. The day I got out of jail I went home took a long shower then jumped on my computer. I looked up a bunch of different DUI lawyers set appointments with them and went and met with them later that day. I met with Angie and she walked me through all the steps of everything that would take place from this point on. As my case progressed I learned more about the law office and the people that worked there. After four months my case was finished. The very first offer that we got was significantly different that what I ended up getting. There were no surprises, and that is what I wanted. I was on a girl's trip wine tasting, and I ran into Uncle sam's nasty cousin. The most unyielding, heartless police officer every. Apparently he has a reputation to uphold or whatever, but it left me wrecked. I've never been to Santa Barbara before, and I figured, with all the things happening around UCSB, I'd be safe. Wrong! I am an uber driver that due to a series of unforeseen and crazy circumstances ended up with a VC 23152 b charge commonly known as a driving while under the influence case. I needed to keep my license due to obvious reasons. My family's livelihood depended on this case getting dropped. My boss gave me H&M's card and I went in and spoke to the attorneys. I got so many quotes from different people, and it was shocked me that some people would take my case for only $500. The lawyers here at the H&M law firm are not $500 dui attorneys, they are $3000 attorneys for a reason. What really made me comfortable, after talking with them - is when I saw their credentials. Worst day of my life, I got fired and it wasn't the greatest job, but it was a job. I had some money in my pocket, and decided to go to a bar, before going home. Horrible move to an already crappy day. Police pulled me over and I tried to tell them what happened, but they didn`t want to listen. I blew .11 and was immediately transferred to the station. I called my mom and she said she would find me an attorney quick. I went to my consultation and met with my attorney. He was very pleasant, I told him every single detail of my case and he worked his magic. A few months later I was in court, and all of my charges were reduced. I am very happy with the results.
