Before we even made the move, Ashton spent time on the phone helping us narrow down neighborhoods and align our search with our top priorities. When it came to viewing homes, she was direct, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. Coming from the Northeast, we were totally unfamiliar with local structural nuances like stucco exteriors, but Ashton proactively pointed out exactly what to look for. Her expertise didn't stop at finding the house, either--she connected us with fantastic local vendors, including a great mortgage broker, cleaners, electricians, and engineers for a retaining wall project. Her guidance on crafting a competitive offer got us the home we loved, and the entire paperwork and closing process was seamless and efficient. We were genuinely amazed at how effortless buying a home from 1,000 miles away could be. If you are relocating or buying locally, you could not ask for a better advocate than Ashton!"

She has a lot of great reviews, and I do not mean to detract from that. I wish her the best, but at the same time, I thought that, in all fairness, I need to tell of my experience. My own take is that she was usually a step slower than others to respond. And while everyone else went to look at the condo before getting back to me, she didn't. Both of these may be on account of the fact that she holds down a different day job. Perhaps she has an assistant or two at her disposal, but I'm skeptical that she would be able to provide the attention that I would have needed. We were trying to close the deal on a home as Mrs. Carter was preparing to go on vacation. We seem to have become a distraction for Mrs. Carter. Due to the timing of her vacation and a lot of miscommunication, Mrs. Carter was not able to dedicate to appropriate time to communicating and processing our offers in our best interest as our buyers agent. Per Mrs. Carter's guidance, we went forward with a home inspection costing us an $1000. Mrs. Carter didn't ensure the seller/buyer documents were signed properly for put out money for the home inspection. Since the purchasing agreement wasn't properly and in a timely manner, the seller changed the agreed upon offer to a higher amount. In the end, we lost the deal and were out of $1000. Mrs. Carter should pasted our buyers case over to one of her counterparts. We have since requested to be released from the realtor buyer's agreement and terminating Mrs. Carter's services.
