Jollyes is easy to navigate and stocks a lot of products. The staff are helpful and the store provide a vet service every Wednesday, so if you visit then you'll see a queue of dogs and cats waiting to get their shots. You can purchase fish and live insects in store, as well as food and products for most pets, even horses, chickens and reptiles. My main downside to Jollyes is one particular product they sell; the cotton style nesting material. Not a lot of pet owners or even staff in pet stores are aware of the dangers and I've personally learned the hard way. It was the best pet shop I have ever encountered. They loved my pets and welcomed them. Always great advice. I used to get the managers name mixed up. Either Rick or Mick but himself his wife and all the staff looked after all of us. It's an amazing store. I am now up north and my nearest store is Coalville I believe, so about to encounter them. Looking for a price for Chudleys chunks. and Also a great supporter of Science Diet for my cats. Piggys ears, collars for all animals, correct medication etc unless you needed to go to a vet ! I love seeing other owners bringing in the own well behaved dogs to choose their new lead or chew toy or special treat. The vets in the back is very useful and they stay open late too - which is fantastic if you work normal hours.

Until a few months ago I was buying bog standard cheap cat litter with my usual weekly shop but one…read moreweek I was at Pets at Home picking up some cat food for one of my cats anyway and I was running out of litter at home so I picked up Pets at Home's own brand non clumping wooden pellet litter, a huge 30 litre sack for about £7. It's so good! It lasts a lot longer than supermarket own brand litter, and actually works out cheaper. The only problems are, it takes up quite a lot of room in the kitchen and the cats like to scratch at the bag! Our cats are registered with the vets in here and while the treatment costs aren't as cheap as elsewhere I don't think, the veterinary staff are very knowledgeable and it's easy to get in and out of with the cats when you're taking them in for their vaccinations (although their constant miaowing doesn't half echo round the store!) As someone else mentioned, the small furry animals section is a real draw, especially when you have a little toddler!

I would like to past an update re- Bobbie. I am so very happy with progress so far. Bobbie has made…read morea couple of friends and they spend a lot of time in interaction during the day. Bob's has started to talk freely so we are learning the extent of vocabulary with a couple of new words already. Bobbie call Crystal really loud over and over untill she answer's 'Yes love'. . Bobbie is a really feisty bird with masses of personality. Not crazy for me yet and loves to try and nip my fingers but thats ok I love him anyways. We have the start of loads of feather growth. Several large wing feathers each side and masses of smaller ones on the wing tops and breast. I expect to lose some a long the way but with good feather beds they will regrow. Diet is still an issue. Bobbie likes what Bobbie likes and fights change. He's just a youngen yet so get there we will. I do have photo's on the growth, which were a mission to get as he chases he camara around quicker than the shutter can click. But hey I won in the end. I can not see anyway to load here.
