An anonymous child in my family attends this school....it was the only school left for him since he failed out of a fancy private school and a magnet school and his mom refuses to put him in the school he's zoned to in HISD. He regularly submits blank documents and is given the option to redo assignments...all the way til the end of the semester! This is a child with no learning disabilities, that is gifted. He could read at a high school level in lower elementary and passes state testing easily. He just hates to write and he hates to do something outside of computer games. The teachers seem dedicated and caring,..but to the point of stunting maturity and growth in a child fully capable of easily passing school- if he chose to!

They do have some nice staff but their leadership, starting from the owner, is woeful, prioritizing money over everything else and summer program is very lame to say the least. As the mother of an autistic, nonverbal child, you constantly worry about whether people will have the patience to understand your child, whether they will accept their differences, and whether they will truly give them a chance. This school has completely changed that fear for me. From day one, they welcomed my son exactly as he is. They didn't see a diagnosis. They didn't see a burden. They saw a little boy who deserved the same opportunity to learn, grow, feel safe, and be loved as every other child. And in such a short amount of time, I have watched him BLOSSOM. He is making progress, becoming more confident, and most importantly, **he is finding his voice.** For a mother who has spent years wondering when or how she would get to hear her child express himself, there are simply no words for what that means to me. The difference wasn't my son. He simply needed people willing to understand him. Thank you to every teacher and staff member who has shown him patience, kindness, and genuine acceptance. Thank you for celebrating his progress, no matter how small. Thank you for giving me the peace of knowing that when I leave my baby with you, he is somewhere he is wanted and supported. You have reminded me that the right environment can bring out things in a child that others may never have taken the time to see. I can only do a review of the playing field where my granddaughter played lacrosse last weekend…read more The school was a bit of a drive from our home in Kingwood, I had forgotten that this section of town seems to have all the businesses selling used car parts so this nice private school seems a bit out place among salvage yards. That being said, the field my granddaughter's team played on was very nice, really good AstroTurf and while the bleacher seats are a bit hard, I was glad I brought my stadium chair. At the halftime I used the men's restroom, it was quite clean and modern. In the end my granddaughter and her Atascocita team mates beat Saint Pius by a good margin, both teams were very sportsmanlike and shook hands afterwards. I understand that so I told her that someone else had it taken care of cause I'm texting my mom. She then continued to yell at us and verbally harass us. The coach did nothing about it. We absolutely loved Primrose Garden Oaks! It was clear that the staff and teachers genuinely cared…read moreabout the children, and we felt that love and care every day. We had to switch daycares after moving, and we truly miss Primrose Garden Oaks. We are especially thankful for everything they did for our son. His teacher, Miss Luz, was absolutely wonderful, drop-offs were always easy because he felt safe, loved, and comfortable with her. Even on his last day, the administrative staff made a point to give him such a warm goodbye, which meant so much to us. We have since moved to another Primrose location, and unfortunately, the level of care and personal connection has not been the same. Some of the things that really stood out at Garden Oaks were having a staff member consistently present at the front desk to monitor who was coming in and out, staff knowing both parents' and children's names, breakfast being included, and the consistency of the teaching staff. Primrose Garden Oaks truly felt like a family, and we will always be grateful for the love and care they showed our son.

It's hard for me to write this review but it has been a few months and I think I can finally say…read morethings without being emotional. When my toddler started here, things were so good! It was amazing to see him be social especially since he's a COVID baby. The ratio was small, his teachers and staff great. A few months passed and the school started to reach maximum ratio in his class (higher ratio here in general compared to other facilities nearby) and that's when things started going downhill. My son started to not want to go to school. For weeks it would be a battle and he would cry seeing the school. I didn't understand but then we started getting daily phone calls with reports of incidents--he was being bitten, hit and scratched by others for 2 weeks straight. Sometimes he would come home with bruises with no reports and we'd have to call to find out what happened. We had many, many meetings and calls with staff to rectify the situation as we loved the school but in the end, they took little responsibility and minimal changes while my son still bears a scar on his face from one of the incidents. There's so much more I could write but I think the above is the most important. They just expected me to shrug things off, even sent a mass letter stating that biting is normal. Not sure what that helps when my son was getting hurt daily. Also, he never hit or retaliated--I asked the teachers. So it wasn't him.
