Doors open at 6pm and the first ball is pulled at 7:30. We didn't think it was that serious and came about 6:45 to be safe. The parking lot was packed and there was only seating in an enclosed smoking section. Needless to say we did not stay. We might try again another day. If we do I'll write an updated review of the experience. If you want to come and sit in the non smoking section I'd say you need to be here by 6:15. Beer and wine are also served here which is cool.

Their boat lost all power and they were forced to paddle to safety. Hopefully. A call was made to the Coast Guard, THANK GOD FOR CELL PHONES!!, and low and behold The Buffalo Fire Department met them and closed off the Seneca Street Bridge. An inflatable was sent to tow them to safety. What else can I say? My daughter is safe. Thank you, BFD!

Volunteers cooked and stirred the chowder all night long. Totally delicious and I don't know how they sell it for only $4 a quart. If you ever get the chance try some!! This is a beautiful little red fire boat which my friend tells us is also the oldest fire boat that is still working and being used in the whole country. We had the beer battered, but the other options looked good too! A big piece of fish, on top of a serving of fries, a scoop of Cole slaw and one of potato salad completed the plate. It came with a roll. On the table were cups with tartar sauce, ketchup, salt for the fries and little envelopes with lemon juice. They have their fish fry all Fridays during Lent.
