Katy doesn't miss a step during timeline creation, last minute changes, or day of the event. In fact, during the day of my wedding, I sent most of my family out of the "hiding room" and felt comfortable when she was in the room because she was alongside me during the wedding planning process and made me feel a sense of ease. THAT is the type of wedding planner you want, especially if the whole "planning process" isn't your thing (like me ;)). Lastly, Katy handled vendor communication incredibly well. From reaching out, to follow ups, to ensuring all vendors were on the same page (especially if they did not respond) which took a layer off of my responsibilities. We opted for month-of coordination, which really kicked off about two months before the wedding, and Katy was amazing every step of the way. We had some vendors selected already but for the few we had remaining, her team provided preferred vendors that really helped narrow down the search. Katy was incredible with communication, providing checklists and keeping us on track while always making us feel comfortable reaching out with any questions. As we got closer to the wedding, she took over vendor communication, finalized timeline details, coordinated insurance requirements, and handled all the little things that can easily fall through the cracks. As a pretty Type A person, I needed someone I could trust to bring my vision to life, especially with all the DIY details I put together. Katy created an easy-to-follow timeline for the weekend and helped with some of the last minute creative details as well. I went into our wedding feeling completely confident that she and her team understood my vision and had everything under control. On the wedding day, Katy and her team were incredible. They coordinated all our vendors, kept everything on schedule, and handled every detail seamlessly. Seeing our ceremony and reception spaces come to life was amazing, and knowing the team handled everything behind the scenes allowed us to enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. From our rehearsal to checking on us while we were getting ready, she made us feel taken care of every step of the way. Debbie and Laurie, owners of Core Concepts, did an amazing job. We hired them to help us coordinate all the details in the final 30 days leading up to our special day. You can trust that they will be in regular communication during the time that you contract to work with them - they will deliver! All of the details came together perfectly - from the beautiful flowers in our requested colors (white, purple and blue) and table seatings, coordinating with our other vendors and keeping everything on time during the day, to the signage and programs and pipe and drape and uplighting and Gobo OH MY. The setting was just perfect - Core Concepts truly helped transformed the space (which was drab) to make it feel elegant and created an atmosphere that made the entire evening feel special to us and our guests. They were hustling until the very end to ensure all the details were taken care of. They also went the extra mile and delivered our flowers after the wedding festivities to the venue where we were hosting a brunch the next morning -- and that was after a really long day of set up and breakdown. That extra touch was a huge help, and we were very appreciative. We shouldn't have hesitated for a minute! The help we got from Rachel and Core Events was THE best money we spent for anything in the wedding planning. We met with Rachel a couple times and reviewed our plans for the day. She was AMAZING - helping smooth out final details at the rehearsal, checking our sound system/music selections, and providing suggestions for different ways to handle the various traditional elements. The day of, while my mother and I had our hair and makeup done, she checked in at the reception venue and ensured the cake and flowers were delivered and set up properly and the banquet room was set up according to our specs. She also placed our favors, guest book, and other little personal touches we wanted at the reception. That sorted, she booked it over to our ceremony location and helped distribute programs, herded family members and the wedding party here and there so the photographer could get as many pre-wedding family pics as possible. While we stayed behind for photos, she headed to the reception and helped get our guests started on nibbles and cocktails, even cueing our playlist for each part of the reception. Once we arrived, she announced our arrival and got our first dance music going. All this on a day she wasn't feeling too great! We are SO grateful to have had the help of someone so professional, organized, and reliable. Her help let us just relaxed, visit with family, and enjoy the day rather than running around and checking on vendors, set up and details. I cannot recommend Core Events highly enough to anyone planning a wedding or large scale event where you'd actually like to be able to enjoy the event and your guests.
