Our group ranged in age from 18-84 and each guide kept us captivated and wanting to know more. The 18 year olds were reciting things they had learned throughout the remainder of our trip in Alaska. Rob was an amazing fishing guide for 3 days for the other part of our group. The most amazing part (for me) was the amazing food, especially the dinners. Everything was creative and so delicious. The cabins are comfortable with black out curtains. Sitting on the deck above river and relaxing was the perfect way to spend every evening. The only disappointment was that the sauna was broken during our visit. Guess we'll have to come back when it is repaired!

The last trip the owner took us and it was a grande ole time as he took us through a canyon, forest, and over a mountainside. I think it was one of the last of the season so he went all out. All the horses are well maintained, groomed, and have a somewhat even temperament as long as you don't get them too close to each other. We have also stayed overnight in the cabins which was a great treat. We used the barbecue, the kitchen, and all the amenities for a really great deal. I enjoy learning by trial and error. Argh! I have never hooked and lost so many fish. Then John put me on the fish and taught me how to land them. He actually guided me right to the fish. "Take one small step towards me" "Let out one foot of line" BOOM! Fish on! Not once or twice but three times! As mentioned this was PRICELESS! They place a huge emphasis on sustainability, eco-tourism, and conservation, which makes my heart sing. All of the guides are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Each of the lodges is incredibly quaint and homey. They give you a backwoods vibe, but with all of the amenities. Every person we came into contact with won our hearts, especially Christine the guide, Kevin the hiking guide and ornithologist, Evan the chef, and Laredo the fishing guide. All the food is AMAZING by the way. Had such an amazing experience that I think I'll be trying to come back and work for them next summer if they'll have me.

We had an exciting ride, saw glaciers, saw huge icebergs and made some memories that will last forever. The boat took us up the white water rivers at over 25 MPH and when we skirted the rocks, it felt like a race car cornering around a race track. Don't get the idea that it was dangerous though. Andy was a master at piloting the boat so I would trust him with my mother. This was an easy adventure but it was spectacular. Don't miss this and enjoy the ride!!
