Upon looking up Big Sammy's on Yelp, it seemed like an ideal choice. After my arrival to the restaurant, I took my time deciding (even though I was in the mood for a burger) as they have a big menu with lots a good variety to choose from. I decided to order a hamburger with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and ketchup; a cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and mustard; six mango habañero wings, and small order of French fries. My ordered was prepared fresh. The fries and the wings were hot off the fryer and the burgers were freshly char-grilled. All the food tasted good. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I prefer. The wings were meaty and crispy with a sweet and spicy flavor. The char-grilled were cooked properly and were quite delicious. They hit the spot. My meal was exactly like how I expected. I liked this establishment for their menu variety, overall pricing, and good service. The restaurant was nice, clean, well-lit, and spacious. Check them out. I'll be back for more.

The dough is crispy on the outside, and still soft and doughy on the inside, stuffed with a chili cheese like stuffing, but maybe it's diced up pepperoni? It's not bad. The best seats in the house are at the counter, where you can banter with the staff and watch the action on the grill. The owner and his staff are super-friendly and accommodating. On this visit, we were with a large group seated in the smaller dining room next to the gaming room. The restaurant was full and the kitchen got backed up; a few in our group did not receive their food until after others had finished their meals. You get a ton of food; most lunches include a bowl of soup, fries and slaw. On a previous visit, I ordered a chicken Philly sandwich that was messy to eat but okay. This time, I began with beef barley soup that tasted like it came out of a red and white can, but the LA wrap was a winner and the accompanying fries were perfect. My Missus gave the Meatloaf Special 5 stars.

He suggested Teddy's here and I'm glad he did. The Gyros was recommended, and it was a good tip! Maybe the best I've had outside of Greektown here in Chicago. They touted their home-made soups, and the BeefBarley proved they weren't lying. Great Coffee as well. It's a homey atmosphere, most friendly. Tisha was a great server and the owner, Anna was very gracious. Alas, it's quite a cruise from Stately Breakwind Manor, so I don't know how much of a regular I'll become at Teddy's but it sure ain't because of the cooking which was grand! The onliest bugaboo-the parking lot is kind of small, and the place was packed. Had to circle for awhile and wait for someone to leave. Worth the wait, though!

I was treating my parents for my dad's birthday month (My daughter has a lot of activities, lol) and the menu appeared to have something for everyone. The 22 minute drive to Itasca was so worth it! The restaurant, which is open to the public, is on the same property as the Itasca Country Club, which is not open to the public. You go down the stairs, through the developing pizza bar, and to the restaurant. The restaurant space itself is cozy, with beautiful, natural lighting, and lots of seating options. We were asked booth or table and seated right by the picture window with beautiful views of their ice rinks and golf course. The food was above and beyond my expectations! Between the 5 people at the table, I sampled the French Onion soup, Sweet & Spicy Brussels, Bacon Smash Burger, Pot Roast Grilled Cheese, Sweet Tees (Donut Holes), Peanut Butter Smore-o, and Verde Dulce. The soup was not salty as I find some iterations, the brussels had complex flavors with hot honey, bacon, candied pistachios, and crumbled feta. The pot roast grilled cheese was very flavorful, but my boyfriend did state he wished the sandwich had more meat in it. The Sweet Tees donut holes were cooked to perfection without being oily and the jam accompaniment was a perfect texture and level of sweet. The Peanut Butter Smore-o was creamy and decadent with its perfectly ratioed layers of ganache, peanut butter mousse, Oreos, and whipped cream. The Verde Dulce, though, was the delicious classic olive oil cake with pistachio gelato & that throwback of candied pistachios from my appetizer. Even better than the food, our server, Kara, was one of the sweetest, most attentive human beings! She answered all of our questions, refilled our fountain drink and iced tea glasses when they were at 75% without prompting, made sure my dad felt celebrated with a candle, etc. Her teammate who was in charge of clearing our table was also prompt and I appreciate her asking what plates she could take. Overall, it was a beautiful late morning/early afternoon with delicious food and impeccable service. 10/10 recommend!!!

I say kids but they were sweet young men. They give you instructions and off you go. Those stones are heavier than I thought they would be. It took a lot and I have the upper body strength of a kitten so... I was struggling. Eventually I got the hang of it. OR maybe the ice got slicker and my stone went further. I think that's actually what happened. Lol! They do allow you to take drinks and appetizers out to the ice. There are warming posts and they were used. Cuz I was cold. Dinner was fabulous. Service was good and just yeah. A great time was had. I ordered the Thai Chili Salmon. So delicious. My husband ordered the Blackened Cajun Chicken Pasta. It was so cheesy but he really liked it. Our friends ordered the Jambalaya and Grilled Salmon. They also ordered dessert to go. A great time was had. Totally worth the drive. I cannot wait to go back. There is a lot for parking.

I walked in and they had a decent amount of space to dine in. It felt like your mom and pop shop which I liked. The cashier who I felt was the owner was so nice to me even tho I was not dressed to impress. I just felt the genuine kindness from his heart. I ordered my bf the Gyro and my thick lovely self had a bacon cheeseburger and we split the fries. Im so happy to report that the burger was delicious and had everything on it, grilled onions, tomato, bacon, mustard etc. The gyro I honestly didn't care for but my bf smashed it! He ate the whole thing! Damn near ate the wrapper! lmbo I am not kidding. So based of his review Im going to say it was good and the fries were shoestring and fried a little soft to my liking but they were still good since I ate all of mine. I sadly didn't take any pics since my order was to go but Honestly I think it's worth the try and I would be back to try something different.

The frappe was also really good. My friend ordered the avocado toast, which she liked, but her caramel macchiato was off at first it tasted mostly like milk with a little caramel. They did fix it though, so I'll give them credit for that. Only downside was she ended up feeling like she got food poisoning afterward. The egg on her dish had a thin film on it, so we're thinking it might not have been fully cooked, which is concerning. Service itself was good and the staff was nice.
