He said it is not a good idea but if we want to do it he was happy to help us. He said that because I told him my dad had a colonoscopy like 4 months ago and it didn't show anything bad plus my dad doesn't have any stomach pain. We decided not to do it but if my dad have any pain will come back. I really like the Dr Tim, he was nice, and took his time to explained everything I asked him, so I recommend him. Everything was smooth, easy to make appointment, everyone in the office was nice and respectful with us and we didn't have to wait too much. So thank you everyone A++

The staff also wears gloves when handling bodily fluids or when touching patients. There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small. Many times, the parking lot will be full. I just park at Walgreens and walk over. Or, you can park in the massive parking lot with the supermarket across the street and walk over. You have plenty of options. Don't worry. The medical office itself is extremely clean, neat, tidy, and organized. Staff: The receptionists here are very quick, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Tim Chen himself is fricken funny, knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

IMHO a doctor could be great but if his…read morestaff won't alert him to an issue, won't relay messages and leaves a patient unable to communicate with them...it won't really matter. I'm having a really hard time processing some of these reviews. Dr. Soltani is a nice man but does not have a "warm fuzzy" bedside manner. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just don't expect that. He is well trained and has impressive credentials. Here is the reason for this 1-star review. If I could give minus stars, I would do that. The staff is unreliable, unresponsive and unprofessional. His scheduler is located outside the United States, which is not a bad thing in itself, but good luck understanding her. We've had a surgical procedure rescheduled, and canceled more than once . Medication was withheld, GI prep was completed, preop appointments that had to be rescheduled/redone...all because the scheduler canceled but neglected to notify the actual patient. This is clearly a negligible practice and I fully intend to see what options are available to us. I try very hard not to leave negative reviews but feel this is a public service issue. I'm disheartened, and feel very upset that the office staff are so uncooperative and unconcerned.

You never know when you go to a doctor you find online if you are going to like them but I have to say I'm really impressed. He reviewed all of my prior labs and notes and came in ready to discuss my immediate needs. Gave me a lot of good info and options. I left feeling heard and at ease.

This visit was underwhelming, unhelpful, and annoying to say the least. These type of "practitioners" are, IMO, what's wrong with modern/American/Western medicine. Thankfully, I happen to know a lot about the gut and microbiome, otherwise I feel we would've just gone around in circles on this telehealth meeting where the best she could do is request labs for me. Then finally, in the end she suggests a SIBO test. I'm describing abnormalities--why aren't you suggesting all that you can think of to perhaps get a lay of the land? To be preventative? It was all kind of pointless, like I said it was basically just a telehealth call to get a referral to labcorp to get labs done, which I won't do because I actually wouldn't trust her feedback or interpretation. If you can't get the actual doctor, go somewhere else. Terrible bedside manner. If you are struggling and need answers go see Dr. Glen Depke, check out Zoe (which offers a stool test,) or check out function health. If you want to get to the bottom of things direct-to-consumer start up culture might provide you a more thorough, thoughtful, and less antiquated approach. This visit was BEYOND disappointing.

I called for two weeks and never got through. I ended up taking time off work and driving 30 minutes there and back just to ask a simple question. Are you going to pay me for the time I lost? I walked in and asked if they got a new phone, they said no. I said I've been calling for 2 weeks and no one answers. They said what's your question? I said no, do you not understand that people need to talk to the office and don't have the luxury to drive to the office in the middle of working hours because you don't want to answer the phone? They said what's your question? Unbelievable. When I walked in, they answered my question on the spot--so why can't you take questions over the phone? I even called while standing at the front desk--the phone didn't even ring. They silenced their phones right in front of me. THEY HAVE THEIR PHONES SILENCED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. Other patients in the waiting room said the same thing--they've also been unable to reach anyone by phone. This isn't just frustrating--it's irresponsible. They will be reported to the medical board.

Dr.Pan is one of the few gastroenterologist who really shows some of the valuable qualities one…read morecould imagine for a good doctor. He is not only professional, knowledgable, but also personable. The medical system was so confusing in the US, as the only person who speaks English in an immigrant family, I've accompanied my family going through many of the medical exams and procedures, often had more frustrations and disappointment than assurance. Dr.Pan was one of the best doctors I've ever encountered who's really worth the respect and gratitude. I hope there would be more physicians who can exhibit the professionalism and CARE at such level as Dr.Pan, it was a relief to know your health will be left in good hands instead of just being labeled with a case number, spending more time with the nurse taking vital signs instead of actually get questions addressed by the doctor. I've experienced persistent rectal bleeding and pain, while my Primary Doctor sent me home after a three-minute appointment with a prescribed laxative, which barely improved my situation. I was nervous as the pain progress and was too embarrassed to discuss it with others, I turned to Google for help, the information online only worsen my concerns and left me with even more questions. I was SO Glad that I was treated by Dr.Pan at the inSite Digestive HealthCare at the SGV office after weeks of suffering. He really took the time to listen to my concerns and discuss the possible solution for my case. The initial consultation went so smooth that I felt like I was just having a conversation with a caring family/friend. Besides his excellent bedside manners, Dr.Pan did efficiently resolved my situation with two quick painless procedures, he knew what he was doing as an experienced specialist. What impressive about Dr.Pan was that he actually remembered his patients personally, not just their names on the chart, but topics they've had during previous appointment. I expected that doctors having those convo out of professionalism, but didn't expected them to actually remembered or even care. When Dr.Pan asked me about how my study plans went which I've only mentioned once two WEEKs ago, I was surprised. Dr.Pan truly did care and remember his patients, and it SHOWs. During the wait time, while I got to observe how he interacted with the other patients, without surprise, he greeted everyone with kindness, patients and staff, elder or young. Dr.Pan is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and he also speaks good amount of Spanish. He would greet the patients in their native tongue when the patients arrive, asked whether they've improved since last visit. and personally explained the post-procedure care and answer questions before patients were released. I've accompanied my mom to get her regular colonoscopy done at another health center earlier this year, and she was discharged with two sheets of paper without a word with the attending gastroenterologist, yet now I know whom to ask for in the future if anyone who have get GI problems that need to be well taken care of.

I booked the Boyle Heights off because of its location. When making the appointment they do not tell you the procedures are done farther away in Arcadia. They don't tell you that when you arrive. You spend 25 minutes filling out forms to see a nice nurse for about 10 minutes who only asks you questions then leads you back to reception where they finally tell you the appointment is in Arcadia. Then they hand you papers with all the crazy awful information that should have been brought up in the appointment: if you're vegan, you basically can't eat anything for a week before. Instead of a prescription colon cleanse, they want you to buy some over the counter stuff including Gatorade. Obviously they're not concerned with sugar consumption. They also switched doctors without telling me. It obviously didn't occur to them the patient who has to endure this invasive procedure has a right to know all these details before they walk out the door with all the bad news on a handful of papers. Totally inconsiderate of the patient. The doctor may be great (I'll probably never know) but the practice is not recommended. It's all about their convenience and your side doesn't matter.
