In this case, Daniel Mejia, DMD from Coastal Dental referred me. I knew it would be a great decision because Coastal Dental truly cares about their patients. I decided to check out the reviews from Southcoast Endodontics. The doctors rated very well, but I chose Quan Nghiem, DMD. Sometimes you just get a feeling and go with it, which is what I did. At the end of March I went for my consultation. As soon as I walked in, I had already felt relaxed. The building was very well kept and immaculate. Karen Nunes, the receptionist was a pleasure to deal with. There are times I find that receptionists are not very friendly or accommodating. I have seen them be rude to other patients and even their own co-workers. That is definitely not a good reflection on the people who employ them. After filling out my forms, I was seen by one of the assistants, Karen Casado, who took x-rays. We started talking about different things. I felt like I had been going there for a long time. She was so easy to get along with. Dr. Quan Nghiem then walked in and explained to me what was going to be done. He was very friendly. They scheduled my appointment the following week. When I left, I was 100% confident I was going to be in good hands. I had my root canal done April 3rd. I was fully relaxed. Dr. Nghiem and his assistant Karen Casado did an amazing job. Although I was not nervous, I love how they distract the patient so that they don't think about what is being done. They were AMAZING!! I felt no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. What an outstanding team the two of them were!! Needless to say, I was very impressed and extremely happy with SouthCoast Endodontics! I had a cracked tooth with no pain, day of root canal comes in, once again mad hurry, does the root canal and was unsuccessful. Then tells me, tooth needs to be pulled and go see your dentist and he can recommenced you to an oral surgeon and flew out of office. I knew from the start he would not be able to do root canal because he was running around his offices and not focused at all. He needs to calm down and not think how many patients he can do an hour for $$. Basically, butchered my tooth and I am pain since I left his office with my tooth. DO NOT RECOMMEND
