Went in for 2 front bearings pressed and a wheel alignment. One bearing was bad, bit I wanted both replaced. I was charged for 2 front berings and labor. Apparently they only changed one, because the other went 1 month later, I was told it was never changed by a new mechanic. Also, my BRAND NEW snows were badly worn on the outside passenger side, which means they either didn't do the alignment at all, or was WAY out of spec. Now I am out the full cost of a half-assed job, 2 snow tires AND the cost of someone else doing the proper repair. I absolutely abhore places like these. read more

I truly used to love Kelly's. They were close to me and were always very courteous. Today changed that. I went in with my husband's car which we were told was going to get a full service the day before with an oil change, fluid check, and was told the air and cabin filter would be changed; plus the driver side low beam light was out and they were supposed to replace that too. 30 mins there, a guy came out and said they couldn't get to the headlight and didn't have time to do it before they closed. I've done it in the past; but it was very confusing that an auto shop would just throw their hands in the air and send me home without doing it since they closing at 5. Plus, It was me and my two kids there waiting for the car to be done and it was already getting dark out. In the past, I know the owner would've never let that fly and would've taken the extra time to make sure we could drive home safe. My husband was infuriated, but I didn't want to argue w/them and knew my hands are smaller since I've already had to replace it in the past. I just don't have a warm garage to work in and I wanted to get my youngest to his class tonight. As soon as I got home; I went to work and try to replace the headlight so we could get going to his class even if it meant we were a minute late. As soon as I popped the hood, I saw coolant splattered everywhere and dripping down the reservoir. Then, as I looked further, there was oil everywhere underneath.(shown in pictures) They must really need to stick to that 5 o'clock out of there because everything was a wreck. I've never seen that much of an oil spill, or at least not one that wasn't even mentioned. Then when I thought about how much they charged; I decided to check the receipt( I've been going to them for 8+ years, never had a worry in the past; was only under the impression that their worker was incompetent when changing a tight spaced headlight) They noted the cabin and air filter needed to be changed but we were told the day prior that they were going to change them as part of the "full service" package. We specifically asked for them to change them when we were on the phone and was told they would do it. We even would've paid anything extra because again, we don't have a nice warm garage to work in even though it's an easy, but long task. Tomorrow they'll be getting a call and I will update anything. Something is going on with that shop and I don't know what it is; but I can never trust them with my car again. They were all simple, everyday tasks that should've been no problem for them to do; but whoever is running the shop just wanted our money and wanted us out. I'm so disappointed in writing this; but thankfully I knew enough to know when things didn't look right and ended up having to tell my son he was going to have to miss his class but they left me in a very unsafe situation and questioning what they knocked loose while rushing us out. Thankfully we have a friend we know we can trust, that'll make sure everything is right and not just rush through it to rush through it and leaving us with possible extra damages and complications since they know and care about whose driving it. read more

There are several good mechanics in town - this is not one of them. To begin with, the area roads are nothing but hell on anyone's brakes. They need to be looked at and repaired at least once every 2 years. So, after repairing and replacing our brakes - 2 days later they completely failed and we had to stop the car by riding on the edge of the highway until the car came to a halt. The brakes literally went to the floor and nothing happened! We had to have the car towed!!! We went back - immediately - and were told they could do nothing about it! The owner refused to speak to me, a dim-witted kid was assigned the job of hustling me out of the place and we wasted $400.00 that they refused to refund. And even sadder, at the same time we had the brakes replaced they inspected the car and never noticed the death trap they placed us in! This is the worst of the worst! I've been coming to Kellys for over 7 years and have never had one issue. The mechanics always do a great job and are completely transparent when it comes to what actually needs to get done. I know that I never have to worry about unnecessary work getting done or paying more than I should when I come into the shop. I get everything I need done here from inspections to oil changes to tires and brakes to major mechanical work. We were traveling from New Hampshire to West Virginia and got a flat tire. We were referred to this shop. When we got there they immediately took care of the tire. However, we were hauling a 5th wheel toy hauler of 39' and needed assistance to get out of the parking lot. A very nice employee not only directed us out of the lot but also moved several cars that were in the way. The next day they called to tell us we had lost our license plate in their yard. They overnight mailed the plate to West Virginia in care of our granddaughter at college. Thank you so much for the extra help you gave us that day! read more

Came in to have my transmission fixed when a pothole damaged the under carriage. They "Claimed" to have fixed the car by replacing the transmission oil platter that holds the transmission fluid. Regardless of what they said, the car did NOT drive like a repaired car. The car with constantly kick out of drive (miss gear) while making turns. A neighbor said its because they didn't fill up the transmission fluid even though i PAID for them to fill it up. I wouldn't go there if they offered free repairs for life. Stay Away! read more

My family and myself have gone here for as long as I can remember. More times than not the problem is fixed and we have been happy customers. However recently I believe I had been mislead by one of the mechanics to get a part I didn't necessarily need. Also they attempt to fixed flickering light problem a couple times with no success. That being said I took the vehicle to another (reliable) mechanic who could not diagnose the problem either. This is why Kelly's gets three stars from me- since I had been going for many years and only ran into typical problems I should expect an old vehicle with high millage. read more

I've brought several vehicles to Kellys over the years. One time I brought in my Chevy Silverado. It was making a strange noise, sounded really bad. I brought the truck in and they checked it out for several hrs. Couldn't re-create the problem. Called me, I assured them there was a problem. They test drove it again and finally figured out it was the AC compressor. I told them I didn't want it fixed since it was an old truck. They had about three hrs of labor into the truck troubleshooting it. When I picked up the truck there was no charge. My Rav 4 had the airbag light on. We took it to the dealer for a recall and it still was on. They charged me $150 to troubleshoot the problem then said it would be an additional $550 to fix it. I took it to Kellys. The doublechecked the problem for free. Confirmed the dealer was right, then did the same job for $415. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST EVER. Morons left inside right rear brake pad off & said its normal to hear noise until pad breaks in $325. HAD to go to other mechanic to fix $525. They ruined my caliper driving in NYC. What a disgrace. Overall cost me $825 for brake pads & inspection read more

Had a bunch of work done to my truck and could not be happier with the service. Prices were lower than other shops in the area and they even delivered it to my home because i didn't have a ride. i know all the mechanics at kellys auto and i have been going there for years easily one of the best shops anywhere in the are all the mechanics there live eat and breath cars...prices are great they work with everyone if there having trouble paying and the person who wrote a bad review is probably driving a car that is 17 years old and feels like blaming everyone else for it...NO i do not work there but i would and have trusted these guys with every car i have ever owned they do everything from oil to custom tunning and full restorations and dyno tunning awsome place..... read more
