They have decided to stop the music and the people stopped coming and now there's very few vendors. Bad decision you guys. And what makes it even worse is they are still advertising live music. You see people walking around with lawn chairs asking where the band is playing. Horrible.

On the plus side: local farmers, local businesses, live band, kids' activities, on the premises of The Promenade Bolingbrook mall - so plenty of parking plus if you need to shop at the mall you can do both. Lots of people, which is great! On the not negative side: in our eyes, a farmers' market should promote local, family-owned, small businesses, not huge corporate chains. We were disappointed to see there were a lot of chain restaurants in their own booths, promoting/serving their food. Yes, there should be hot food served at the farmers' market, but it should come from local restaurants. We probably won't come back. We decided to stop in and check it out mostly because we saw the signs coming out of IKEA. Overall, not a bad experience, but not fabulous either.

Oh my goodness!! What an amazing market! From the varieties of vendors, to the food, to the layout…read more-- I see why this market gets so much attention. If you can't find a reason to visit this market, make on up. Whether you're in need of produce, flowers, food, meal prep, gifts or just a reason to get out of the house. I was most surprised by the amount of quality textiles, jewelry and clothing. There were a lot of oohh's and ahhh's while walking these booths. You have your typical farmer's market vendors but then so much more. I have to give honorable mention to Eternal Buzz Coffee. The wife and husband duo, Rachel and Vito, run this amazing nonprofit. This booth was too hopping not to notice! They were not only whipping out amazing authentic British scones and real Italian roast coffee drinks, but they were passionate and so very genuinely kind. I got a whole run down about the market from Vito and some great recommendations to try.

Every year there also seems to be more vendors added. Prices are pretty high but that's to be expected at markets. There's plenty of free street parking and a parking garage nearby. There were three vendors selling coffee, multiple bread/pastry vendors, fresh produce, empanadas, toasts, two flower vendors, multiple jewelry vendors, clothes, frozen fish, crepes, lemonade, cheese, sooo much to find. If you go later in the day, most vendors will probably mostly be sold out. At 1pm there was still a lot left though. Today I got a vanilla cold brew from Activitea ($7), a cherry croissant from a French bakery I forgot the name of ($4), and sourdough loaf from Momma Bear's Bakehouse ($11).

It was very hot outside so my visit was not as long as I would have liked but very good experience and one of the best if not the best farmer's market I've been to. You can stop by any time from June to October on Saturdays I believe- weather dependent. The market is on the smaller side so you can get through it quickly. There is still a pretty big selection here of local goodies. From donuts to coffee to homemade jewelry and all in between. We ended up grabbing a few bags of coffee from Gigawatt coffee roasters. We got the Ethiopian medium roast and the Costa Rican light roast. The Ethiopian had honey, strawberry and shortbread notes. The Costa Rican one had orange, peach, and brown sugar notes. My favorite had to be the Costa Rican one but I like my coffee roasts light so it has an unfair advantage ;) Both coffees had a super smooth taste. I wish I could bottle up the smell of the freshness!! Grinding and brewing these beans filled up our kitchen so nicely. They also put the roast date on the package which is a huge bonus for us coffee snobs. All in all, we enjoyed our time here at the market. Everyone was very friendly and like I mentioned, the market is easily walkable.

This brand new Farmer's Market is a replacement for the old one that used to be at the Village Hall…read more(see https://www.yelp.com/biz/orland-park-farmers-market-orland-park?osq=farmers+market). This new Market has longer hours and a more expansive location to make it easier for people to attend. It is now located at the 143rd METRA Station in Orland Park...roughly one block west of LaGrange Road at 142nd Street. The Market is held on Thursdays only...from May 25 to August 31. Hours are from 4pm to 8pm. If you happened to be a METRA rider, you will find the Market as soon as you jump off the train at night. Besides adding some live entertainment at this location, the number of vendors is expected to grow substantially as customers find the site. Right now there are about two dozen vendors. The vendors are much like those that were visiting the old Farmer's Market, but this location will eventually attract many additional vendors. Food and food trucks, notions, candles, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables, and many Orland Park businesses are here. For example, the University of Chicago medical people are represented ... even more so because they have a new four story facility just a couple hundred feet away. This new Market is worth trying...it is just one more example of the Village trying to upgrade its offerings to the public. Recommended.
