There were so many hiccups and this company held almost $4000 of my funds in "escrow " due to an erroneous debt less than half that amount from 2012 that was paid off in 2013!!!!!!! They refused to release all of our funds after closing and made it terribly challenging for my husband and I to get our money back even after providing multiple times through emails and and phone calls receipts that the debt was erroneous and had be paid off in FULL 10 years ago! I ended up having to drive almost 2 hours to go in person to their office to speak with someone about the matter. Once I got there, they were very polite and accommodating in refunding our money from closing because they knew that they were dead wrong in how they dealt with our family in such a harsh way. BUT WHY did they put our family through this terrible experience in the first place?! We were told by our Title company that had done what they were supposed to do but Appomattox Title still kept holding our funds unlawfully. Questionable business practices.

I cannot attest to Annemarie's team, I am sure they are fine people, but I dealt with Annemarie directly. We sold our home in Moseley and needed a short-term rental to finish the school year. We were in a bind trying to stay in our school district. Annemarie offered up a home she was trying to rent for a client; we jumped on it given our time constraints! She had us pay the application fee (which we never got back), had OUR agent draft the lease for HER client's property, then pretended to not know why the signed lease was taking so long to get back into our hands (she only made an agreement verbally to our agent and via email stating it was coming). She strung us along for days while she proceeded to sell the house instead, negotiating a contract while keeping us in her back pocket just in case. In my opinion, that speaks volumes to her moral conduct and lack of ethical standards. I am sure as a seller's agent she's fine, sometimes you need a cut throat agent to get your house sold. I for one appreciate someone with a higher ethical standard, someone looking for a win-win for all parties. I would not use her, nor would I ever recommend her.

John never oversaw the estate sale , took a 9,000 square foot house of Georgian style furniture, Grand Piano , beautiful custom made rugs , Grandfather Clocks , Dining Room , 4 Bedrooms of very nice quality furniture? lamps and paintings, Den, Living Room , Tea Parlor , Beautiful Large Antique Entrance Foyer.Furniture .Silver , China , Paintings ., so much more .. i had no idea it was going to be a huge flea market .. I was told to stay away during the sale .. everyone was so excited it went well they said .. His designer was thrilled ., John too .. well when the check came in the mail .. it devastated me .. I still am sick beyond measure .. Heartbroken .. I am sick , how could I be such a fool to trust this man ., The check was for $600 .. $600..!!! John tried to down play all of it . he didn't raise any arguments with the estate company in my defense .. He did nothing .. told me when we closed he would give me $10,000 to make up for it .. lol .. well long story short , he is no longer my realtor .. this estate sale happened less than a year ago .. $10,000 was a drop in the bucket .. my baby grand was worth $5,000 .. but John never gave me a penny ... i was left with an empty , ugly inside of was once a gorgeous Williamsburg Mansion .. He Completely dismissed me .. treated me with great disrespect .. I hope to find an awesome lawyer and sue him and his company .. no one selling their home should ever have this happen to them .. on top of this horrific estate sale I spent over $100,000.00 on my house , John said it needed to put on the market .. but I have had so much feedback that it was the biggest mistake ever to listen to him and his designer ... they painted over original murals .. painted everything stark white .. it's been awful ..
