Prior to signing, we were explicitly told the unit would be professionally cleaned and move-in ready. When we received the keys, that was not the case. The apartment required extensive cleaning, and we ultimately had to hire professional cleaners ourselves after receiving little meaningful remediation despite repeated communication. Since move-in, we have dealt with a long list of unresolved maintenance issues, many of which were documented immediately upon occupancy, including: - a nonfunctional washing machine with standing water and visible mold - a nonfunctional microwave - exterior openings allowing animal activity in the walls/ceiling - a broken mailbox lock (mailbox doesn't close at all) - missing window screens - multiple additional maintenance and safety concerns We are now nearly a month into the lease and all of these items still remain unresolved. To be fair, Michelle eventually stepped in, acknowledged that our move-in experience fell short, and approved a partial rent credit toward the cleaning expense, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience has still felt highly reactive rather than proactive, with much of the burden of coordination falling on us as tenants. The most frustrating part has honestly been the lack of preparedness and follow-through. We understand that maintenance issues can happen, but a unit should not be turned over in this condition after repeated assurances that it was move-in ready. We are hopeful the remaining issues will ultimately be resolved, but wanted to share our experience candidly for anyone considering renting through this management company.

My husband and I recently sold our house through Marion Jewell…read more We feel that this particular realtor was unprofessional and want to explain our experience with her. When we met Marion, she was hard to reach, always busy and seemed to not give us her full attention. This continued through out the sale. Marion would not, on her own, call us with a status. And our phone calls about the sale seemed to inconvenience her. We are military and knew that we would not be at the closing regardless, and never injected a date of our own. Our first closing date was set almost a month in advance, and the week before Marion emails the title company, saying that she will be out of town at a realtor conference and requires the closing date to be pushed back to support her. She does not tell us this directly, but only CCs us in the email were she ensures the buyers that these changes were good with us. The day of the closing comes and we have to E-mail Marion to find out what was happening. The closing got pushed back because of the buyer's financing and we weren't told immediately. As we set new / future closing dates and bench marks, we have to continually get in contact with Marion instead of the other way around. With the 1st of December as the next big day, I call Marion for a status and she tells us that we are now closing in less then a week. These issues in communications has us regularly questioning her devotion to our sale. Marion even sends a rent check (Daily Usage Check) back to the buyer worrying that they might over pay, when in fact the check was from the previous month and over due. Marion was our agent and we were her customers, but our interests and opinions did not seem to be at her forefront.
