CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs - The despicable gauze wrap they left me with. I had to ask to have it go around my wrist so it didn't just fall right off.

If I could give this hospital and their LTAC unit a zero it would be too much. I clearly blame them…read moreand their physicians, respiratory therapist for the death of my loved one. The hospital is clean as long as you remain on the regular St. Vincent's floor but the LTACH unit is dirty and dirty towels and other bedding were left in there without being moved for several days on the floor, Please beware of the LTACH unit the want to trach everyone. The respiratory therapist and nurses do not clean the mouth around the intubation (vent) if your spouse has one for breathing plus they do not suction the lungs if there is a vent. My spouse ended up with super eboli bacteria that was discovered after having been transferred at my insistence to another hospital. He contracted this infection after having been intubated several times during one stay and he became extremely ill due to their poor care. He ended up with a life threatening infection and sepsis due to their lack of care. Not to mention that I was informed by one nurse that they did not know his living will information and they were just going to keep him comfortable. He was transferred to another hospital in Little Rock. The hospital quickly dried the fluid from his lungs with a medication administered by a shot. They treated his kidneys that St. Vincent's had nearly destroyed as well as the infection he contracted at CHI St. Vincent. They could not treat the sepsis that occurred due to ST. Vincent's inadequate medical care. I lost my loved one because of their inadequate and lack of care. Stay away from them. Go to Little Rock to Baptist, Arkansas Heart Hospital or UAMS if you value the life of your loved ones or yourself.

Show up for my appointment and am told I have an outstanding bill. I called them every month to tell them to refile my bill to my Medicare. My husband had been laid off and all I had was my Medicare. I had no idea I had to call Social Security to let them know that I no longer had other insurance. So I got that fixed but they never rebilled my Medicare. Now they want me to pay a bill I called them every month and told them to rebill my Medicare. They said I had to pay it to be seen. I told them I was not paying a bill that Medicare would have paid at 100% and essentially one that was their fault it didn't get paid. Now I'm in a lot of pain and trying to find another podiatrist I can see now! I know I need a large bone spur removed that has my toe twisted. He will continue to lose patients is his billing department fails to do their job!

The office staff, nurses and…read moreDr Brogdon were all very courteous, professional and showed me nothing but kindness and respect. My dry eye problem was improved to the point I was able to have my cataract surgery. I had cataract surgery on both eyes over a 2 week period (community care referred from the VA). It was the most positive experience that I have ever had in a medical environment. I saw staff and doctors in both the Hot Springs and Little Rock clinics and the Little Rock Surgical Center. Everyone I came in contact with showed extraordinary professionalism, compassion and such a personal feeling of attentiveness. I would definitely call this clinic a "best practice" model from start to finish. Thank you to all involved in my care, Karren Blankenship

Concerning Experience and Pressure for Unnecessary Surgery…read more I had a two‑hour exam here in December 2025, and the experience left me very uneasy. Despite having a large office, there were no ophthalmologists on site. After the exam, I was told I had "severe" nuclear cataracts and needed to have both lenses removed urgently -- before Christmas -- and that I would have to travel to Little Rock because they had no ophthalmologists locally. I was also told LASIK wouldn't work and that the surgery was invasive, which added to the pressure. The urgency they pushed did not feel right, so I requested my records and sought a second opinion. They initially refused to send my records to the ophthalmologist in my own town, and the doctor there had to call them himself to get them. My second exam (also two hours) showed something very different: only mild cataracts that are completely normal for my age, excellent eyesight, and absolutely no need for surgery. The ophthalmologist told me, "If it isn't broken, we're not going to fix it." Based on my experience, I felt pressured toward an unnecessary and invasive procedure. I encourage anyone who receives an alarming diagnosis here to get a second opinion.
