This is a really cool Gallery on Madison. The current exhibit was very well organized. You start with the brochure. All photos are number and placed on the walls in chronological order. I loved the selection. I'm only sharing a couple of my photos on Yelp. There are over forty on display.
Here's the drill:
On Madison you enter the door at street level. Press the buzzer for the gallery and the second door will unlock. The gallery is on the second floor. It's an old walk up building that's very well cared for. On the second floor is the gallery entrance to your right.
Once I entered I looked back down the hall and saw a young lady in the office. I told her I was there to see the photos. She smiled and nodded. The space is very comfortable. The furniture is spread around. You could sit at a table also. There were art books in the window. I'm sure you could sit and read. Although I didn't linger, it was a nice refuge from the record heat today. One window had a beautiful piece of stained glass naturally I took a photo. I love stain glass.
If you enjoy mid century black and white photos you'll enjoy the exhibit. Striking images reminded me of British Films I've enjoyed. I'm having trouble putting it into words. I hope my photos tell the story. :-) read more
