When I brought my cousin to see the items that I was raving about, another employee behind the counter was talking to another customer. Apparently she was telling him the positives and negatives of living in Maui. That seemed really nice and helpful to him. But the employee started to tell the customer how horrible it is to live in Honolulu and continues to bad mouth the city. Ummmmm.... Both my cousin and I just spent $500+ in your shop and we are both born and raised in Honolulu. We both think Honolulu is a pretty great place to live. Not cool to talk badly about another city - especially if you are 20 years old (she told the guy that) and haven't lived in Honolulu for an extensive time. Unprofessional. I don't think I'll be returning here to shop and I don't think I'll be giving any recommendations to come here either. While waiting for a family member at their appt, I went window shopping to check it out. Sad to see this place has fallen like other major malls across the country since covid & looking like a ghost town. The only anchor store left is Macy's. Their food court on the 2nd floor has dwindled to just a handful of choices: L & L BBQ, Panda Expess, Pearl Korean BBQ. There's also a pretzel place on the 2nd floor but near the Fun Factory. Downstairs was a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and a Mexican restaurant. But there still are some other popular stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, Ben Franklin, & even a Cat Cafe where you can play with cats for a fee or adopt. Still a lot of empty store spaces advertising for lease. The mall itself is a beautiful mall to walk thru. It's open-air with a tarp like cover that lets the trade winds blow thru. Ample parking with a huge covered parking structure in the back. I enjoyed visiting this mall, it was just sad to see it half empty.

It didn't feel like a salesperson pouncing on a sale. It felt almost like a slumber party atmosphere! The original sales gal and 2 other workers were now involved and they made it so fun! Once I got in the fitting room, it felt like a fashion show. But instead of everyone telling me "everything looks great/cute" (toxic positivity), they were using their expert language and asking ME how I felt or what I thought. I really appreciated that! They grabbed me other sizes and showed me other versions of outfits (wide leg pants vs. oversized button down vs. shirt dress). I actually wore one of the shirt dresses out! As I was checking out, I noticed another part of the store. I completely walked right past it! And that was their jewelry side! I fell in love with 2 necklaces on that side! By this time, the owner had come out and it was a full blown party. I recently lost my mom - out of habit, I went to call her to ask which of the 2 necklaces she loved best. I had to use the gals at the store to be my stand-in-mom-energy, and I ended up treating myself to both! Now those pieces were expensive (both 14k!) but I wear them every single day.
