Today, I took my 10-year-old son to the dentist for a scheduled appointment…read more My son is terrified of needles, and what happened today was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. As he sat there, crying and trembling with fear, my spouse and I did everything we could to calm him down so the dentist could do his job. But instead of showing patience or understanding, the dentist suddenly exploded in anger. He started shouting at my little boy, as if he were an adult who should know better--completely disregarding the fact that he's just a scared child. To someone who calls themselves a doctor, someone who has supposedly dedicated their life to helping others, I have only one thing to say: shame on you. How can you not understand that phobias are real, and for many people, they are uncontrollable? I've known grown adults in their 50s who are terrified of flying and have never stepped foot on an airplane, even if it means spending hours driving instead of taking a short flight. Does that make them deserving of ridicule or anger? Absolutely not. This kind of fear can happen to anyone--child or adult. As adults who claim to be wise, compassionate, and mature, we should be offering support in moments like these, not making them worse. My spouse and I are heartbroken and furious with ourselves for not standing up for our son in that moment. I can't sleep because of the pain in my head and the guilt in my heart. Worst of all, I can't stop worrying about how this horrible experience will stay with my precious child. How can I help him heal from this? If you're a regular patient of this dentist and trust their work, that's your choice. But I beg you--never leave your child alone in their care. Always stay with them. I hope sharing this deeply painful and emotional experience doesn't upset you, but I can't stay silent. I'm outraged and deeply disappointed in this so-called doctor, and I know for certain I will never step foot in their office again--even if I have to endure the worst pain imaginable.

They're stunning!" They were the whitest I've seen in years and it wasn't even a whitening session! The dentist is also really helpful and allowed me to feel a lot less scared about getting my cavities filled. Mostly pain-free and quick. I am never finding a new dentist. 10/10 in every way.

RIP OFF. My family as been a patient for over 10 years . I get my teeth cleaned 3 times a year,…read moreand starting in Nov 2017 had invisalign with them from their "specialist" Dr. Rykiss. They pushed him after saying he was better equipped to manage my case. "It would cost a little more ie. $7200 vs. $5k, but probably worth it.". Well, Dr. Rykiss only came to the office once a month, so if something broke or needed adjusting in between, or if you were unavailable, or sick, that day you were literally screwed and had to wait until next month's visit. Then COVID came which was not their fault but further delayed the experience. SO 3 full years later, they came off. The treatment took double the time, cost 30% more for premium doc, and I was not happy at all with the progress or the time it was taking, but was handcuffed to Dawson because I was mid-treatment (and you cant just move to another ortho, BUYER BEWARE, and I still ended up with a substandard result, confirmed by two other orthos I consulted.) Even after I asked to end the treatment because I no longer saw any progress, Dr. Rykiss agreed and said, that we could tweak if we wanted to at a later time. Well, a year later the wire retainer bond popped off and one tooth shifted badly, and Dawson would do NOTHING about it. They literally said, Dr. Rykiss was retiring and not practicing in their office and wanted me to pay $5500 to reshift THE TOOTH. This was because the ortho was not "their file" but Rykiss'. Huh? So, After paying premium for treatment to them , unbenknownst to me they didn't consider him "their Dr., even though I was their patient who asked them for invisalign, consulted with them, all treatment was paid to "Dawson" and done at Dawson, and fully facilitated at Dawson. This was the straw that broke the camels back so I moved dentists. BUT It is also worth noting that on my last appointment, just I had xrays done there and nothing was noted, yet when I had them transferred the images to my new dentist a few months later, they showed 2 cavities, one of which is rather deep. They clearly showed on the xray. So basically the xrays at Dawson as part of the regular cleaning, were PAID FOR but not looked at. Perfect example of the incompetence. Also, the cross-selling of services has always pushy, .... The only reason we stayed with them was because of one hygenist Ann Marie who was awesome, but otherwise, my husband wouldn't go because it was too painful from others who turnover regularly there . No exaggeration. I cannot recommend them for anything. They are the puppy-mill of dental clinics.

I went to Dawson Dental a couple of years ago for a root canal. The dentist and staff were very…read morenice and put me at ease and the procedure was straightforward. Unfortunately I just had to have that root canal redone at a cost of $1200 because there was residual infection that was not cleared and insurance doesn't cover very much of a root canal re-do. I would suggest an endodontist for root canals and not just a dental office since I had to go through the procedure twice and pay twice as well.

It's ok. For sure needs improvement…read more First off the scheduling was a bit mess up. Got booked for an appointment that wasn't even aware of. Had to reschedule twice. After that kept getting email and text messages (with all different numbers) to ask to book appointments and reminders. I was never told about pricing. After all the procedures I was charged extra $700 after insurance. (But I guess it was also my fault for not asking) Even though receptionists were not too friendly. The dentist and technicians were definitely professional and friendly. I just wish they can book the same dentist so the kids can build a more trustful relationship All in all it's not bad experiences but not the best either

I have taken my child to Apple Tree Dental For Kids because our dentist said he needs 3 fillings…read more The dentist at Apple Tree Dental For Kids said that he needs not 3 fillings, but rather 8 crowns and a lot more extensive work. He gave us 2 options: option number one- use laughing gas and put 3 crowns, or option number 2 put the child under general anesthesia and put 8 crowns. My son has asthma and kidney issues, we cannot do laughing gas or general anesthesia and the doctor at Apple Tree Dental For Kids did not give me an option to perform the work without any sedation. The same day I have taken my child back to our regular dentist and he was in disbelief of what the dentist at Apple Tree Dental For Kids suggested. I understand there might be differences in professional opinion, but they must at least be on the same spectrum. I have then taken my child to my cousin who is in Niagara and is also a dentist and he said the child needs 3 white fillings, no laughing gas, and no general anesthesia. Do not take your kids here, they will rip you off to make money without caring about what's best for your child.
