No sign of the hyped up H.S.P. The lady working there was waiting, ready for my order. I lean in over the counter and ask "Do you have something called a H.S.P?" She replied with a smile and a point, "See what they're having at the table, that's it." She patiently explained what it is, layers of chips, meat, cheese and sauce. I told her to just do what she thinks is best with it. We sat down. After some taking in the venue small talk, It arrived. Set down on our table was this plate oozing with sauce and spices. You could tell this would be a saucy meal. You dig in, trying to get everything onto one bite: chips, lamb, cheese, garlic sauce, barbecue sauce. Oh it was good. One regular was big enough for two people to eat comfortably. I came, I saw, and I conquer. Now I know what the H.S.P. Appreciation Society is all about. Cheap and delicious filling food. I get it. Crispy chips covered in cheese topped with your choice of lamb, chicken or both, smothered with garlic, chilli and bbq sauces. A bit heavy on the bbq sauce but it can always be tweaked to your liking. A small is $10, a large is $15. I tried a mixed chicken and lamb snack pack with garlic sauce and chili sauce. Both complimented each other well, nothing was overpowering, it all just went went well together.
