Then there are places that you go to of a night out for some scran because you just bloody love the place. Harun's is one such place. Despite recently painting the shop a rancid orange colour, Harun's remains the best takeaway in Southport for you to greedily stuff your mouth with greasy goodness in the early hours of the morning. The food there is well made and delicious albeit not particularly cheap (damn you Southport) and the staff there are friendly and will happily talk with you for hours about good Turkish footballers (believe me; it happens every week when we go). They also have a punching machine in there (perhaps to curb the violent enthusiasm of the Southport residents) which causes much hilarity at three in the morning when my mates decide to show each other who can hit something the hardest. Edit As thanks for a review I left yesterday bemoaning separate delivery (so no soggy bread) and no tahini, they gave me a free kebab ready wrapped with a load of tahini on it. This place is truly exceptional, and has a customer for life in this house.

The service was fast and friendly, the owner and crews chatted and introduced themselves (from Pakistan), and the food is just plain glorious. It is obvious as soon as you walk in that this isn't what a kebab shop looks like. It's clean and airy with a large counter displaying a variety of salad items. The staff were a cut above as well. Unfortunately as well as upping the standards they have also upped the price with the result that I paid more for a standard kebab here, out of town than I would in the city. They serve an impressive array of kebabs here and I will certainly be treating myself again in the near future. I put the disorganized nature of the service down to the newness of the venture.

They do a whole range of foods, they do curries, kebabs, burgers and pizza's so there's something for everyone here. As I wanted to try and at least be a little healthier than I could have been I decided to have a mix grill kebab without the naan with some salad, I have to say the meat was delicious it was cooked properly on skewers rather than them shaving processed meat like other takeaways do.
