Chicken Curry

I highly recommend checking out this place for yummy, authentic food! The portions are big, prices are reasonable, and service was fast. The curry was delicious - it has so much flavor. The restaurant is pretty large with plenty of seating so this is great for large groups too.

Mood - Comfort Food My world lately has been flipped upside down and turned inside out. For me when this happens I retreat into myself until I feel I'm not a burden to anyone again. I crave Comfort Food that helps my mental health. And believe it or not, but Garlic Naan is one of those foods I can get real cozy with until I'm ok. Hey don't judge we all have our thing. Opted of course for that Garlic Naan, and by the recommendation of the employees the beef kebab. The good was wonderful in flavor and that Naan was perfection. Upon entering was quickly greeted and given the run down of the menu. Now this is a soft open menu. The real menu will be available any day along with the additional dishes they will offer. You order at the front, pay, find seating, and it is brought out to you. Interior is quite large. There are several tables. This place can accommodate small to larger parties with ease. Everything was very clean. Would most def recommend- prices were reasonable especially for the quality. The customer service was very friendly and hospitable. I will be back once they have the desserts on the menu. And yes Mango Lassi will be on it Location is Charleston/ Wilshire - ample parking

They were rude and the food came out wrong. Not worth $20 and they lost a customer. If I could rate zero stars I would.

We tried the lamb, goat, and chicken biryani, and each one was delicious, aromatic, and packed with flavor. The garlic naan was also excellent--fresh, warm, and full of flavor. Her excellent service made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and comfortable, making Rumi Room a great choice for a family meal, date night, or special occasion. Highly recommended, and definitely ask for Clara!

Yelp Review 2026 #203:…read more This place is a ripoff! I placed an order using their website. I ordered a Beef Koobideh for $24, and a Soltani Kabob for $38. With tax and $1 convenience fee, the total was $68.19 I get there and I was told they don't have Soltani Kabob. Somebody should update the website. If you don't have it, don't put it on the website! So, they swapped my order with chicken (cheaper than beef) and a Beef Koobideh. Then, all of a sudden, my new total was $81! Like what in the actual F happened? When you subbed a more expensive menu item with a cheaper menu item? For the price, you can get bread and hummus at other Persian restaurants. Rumi only gives you rice, a quarter of an onion and a tomato! The food is bland. They don't even give you sumac. I'm never getting food from here again. Terrible!

I love this restaurant. I have ordered from here maybe ten times at least. It truly is a hidden gem…read moreand there aren't many restaurants that claim to deliver on real Pakistani food. Being of Pakistani decent I judge restaurants on 3 dishes that were my grandmother's go to. 1) Chicken Biryani 2) Aloo Saag 3) Nihari All 3 of these dishes were cooked and spiced perfectly every time I've gotten them. Truthfully they use better quality chicken than my grandmother used. As far as I could tell it was all white chicken breast. The Nijari was super tender but getting the actual masala down is tough but they nail it everytime. Aloo Saag (spinach and potatoes) seems easy but I've had at it other places where it was barely edible. As for breads they make killer naans and parathas too. Many places don't even offer parathas. They're not as good as my grandma's but the're pretty good. I've had my family eat the food and they approve too. I couldn't possibly recommend a restaurant more.

This restaurant is a bit different and besides Indian dishes they offer beef dishes, burgers, falafels, hummus, and more. Inside is also very unusual. They have a separate dining room with booths that look completely different from the main part of the restaurant. The restaurant also looks like it was a hibachi place at one time because it looks like the grill tables remain. We decided to try the buffet. We were both impressed. Nearly everything we tried was delicious and hot and fresh. This also was the first time that I tried an Indian dessert that was delicious to me. I think the dessert was marked suji? To me it tasted more like warm spiced apple but I read that it was really semolina. Very interesting. They also served you your choice of fresh made to order hot naan that also was very good. Our plates were cleared quickly and refills were offered. The lunch buffet (Sunday) was only around $21. a person and we thought that was very reasonable.

I'm giving Hafez Persian Restaurant three stars because I believe in constructive feedback rather…read morethan simply bashing a business. They have many positive reviews, and I respect that other diners may have had different experiences. However, being very familiar with Persian cuisine and the traditional Persian dining experience, I believe customers should understand what they are receiving for the prices being charged. For lunch, I ordered à la carte: one skewer of ground beef koobideh and one skewer of ground chicken. My wife ordered the lamb shish kebab, which was approximately $34 and consisted of only about four relatively small pieces of lamb. The first thing that surprised us was the portion size. The kebabs were remarkably small compared with what we are accustomed to at established Persian restaurants such as Raffi's Place in Glendale, which has been serving the community for decades and is well known for both quality and generous portions. My larger concern is the overall value proposition. Too many things seemed to carry an additional charge. Bread is extra. Onions and vegetables are extra. Everything begins to feel à la carte, and by the time our relatively modest lunch for two was finished, we had spent approximately $70. There is nothing wrong with charging premium prices when the quality, portions, ingredients, and overall experience support those prices. We regularly dine at excellent Las Vegas restaurants, including Esther's Kitchen, where similar pricing provides substantially more food using excellent-quality ingredients. So this isn't about expecting inexpensive food or enormous portions. It's about receiving reasonable value for what you're paying. We also recently visited Raffi's Place in California and paid comparable prices while receiving dramatically larger portions and, in our opinion, a better overall product. That's why I don't believe this can simply be attributed to inflation or today's food costs. Persian hospitality has traditionally been associated with generosity. That doesn't mean restaurants should give food away or serve unnecessarily enormous portions, but guests shouldn't leave feeling that every small addition carries another charge or that the amount of food served doesn't correspond with the menu price. Another thing that caught my attention was how quiet the restaurant was during our Saturday afternoon visit. There was essentially only one other occupied table. In a city like Las Vegas, where successful restaurants can be extraordinarily busy, I believe that should encourage ownership to take a serious look at pricing, portion sizes, and the overall customer experience. My recommendation to ownership is straightforward: reconsider the portion sizes and the heavy à-la-carte approach. Focus less on incremental charges and more on providing a complete Persian dining experience that makes customers feel they received good value and want to return. I am giving Hafez three stars because I don't believe in tearing down a business, and there is certainly potential here. But based on our personal experience, the value simply wasn't there. I sincerely hope ownership takes this feedback in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. A few meaningful adjustments to portions, pricing, and the overall concept could make a significant difference.

We found it after bit of a search. The website for Al Madina showed an interesting and wide ranging menu. However, this incarnation has a much more standard and smaller menu. There were four of us with two people less familiar with Indian food. We ordered the lamb chops (excellent), chole bature, a vegetable biryani, raita and a karahi chicken- all of which were tasty. The chicken was somewhat watery unlike a traditional karahi should be. The paratha and the nan were good. We ended up with a decent falooda. As the place does not offer alcoholic drinks we stuck with canned sodas. The restaurant is rather sparkly decorated, much like a roadside diner. The place is owned by three partners, one of whom, Milton Mehta, was present and serving the food. He was cheerful and reasonably efficient. It looks like a family restaurant. On the west desert inn road on the city outskirts, as are many ethnic restaurants, it is a place I might visit again.
