Golden, piping hot, perfect size, not too greasy, fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside. It's a losing battle to find perfect chips these days - especially from normal outlets. But here you go. Ann the host is a lovely women who goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Her English breakfasts are a great way to start the day. The beds are comfortable and the home is clean and inviting. A number of restaurants and pubs within 5 minutes. It's good value and we'd stay here again!

It is just seasoned Chicken after all. Excellent post workout high Protein food though. It is good here though. Best time to go is during the week as it isn't too busy - being in Dockside not many people go there other than for the cinema. The food is pretty good but service could be better. It isn't a waiter service so you go in and choose your own table before then going to the till point and ordering where you also get your own drink, cutlery ect. They do have free refill drinks here though which a lot of places are catching onto now (seeing as it only costs about 2p for a pink of Coke it's about time too!). The Chicken is nice and fresh and I like the fact that the kitchen is open so you can see it being cooked.. if you're close to the till point anyway. Reasonably priced too - even better when it's free. My last visit here I managed to get a few vouchers for whole free chicken. 4 of us went along and with a loyalty card too and got 3 and a half Chickens between us!! (I only had a quarter with salad though - honest!) The staff must have hated us that day! But they were nice enough not to show it. NOTE: If you're vegetarian or want something other than Chicken - don't go here!!! (yes.. a couple of visit's I overheard people moan that they only had Chicken on the menu. Sheesh!).

I love eating most of the other jkebabs from the chatham grille too and my favourite is their tender and spicy spare-ribs . My cod and chips were inedible, burnt and over done. The fish was a funny colour and I felt sick on tasting it. My sons kebab was horrible, stale braed and dry kebab meat. It spoilt the evening and made us both feel ill. The chips were over cooked.
