Ordered 22 tons of 2 to 2 1/2 rock to be delivered. what I received was not even close to that. The invoice I received stated that I ordered 2 1/2 crusher run. I ordered rock, not a crusher run--I was very specific about that. Additionally it did not have either an empty or full weight of the truck prior to delivery. Kyle, the owner was supposed to reach back out to me yesterday and did not return my call. I contacted the driver and he said he is "just the driver" and "he does what Kyle asks". He wasn't any help either. My invoice didn't include a delivery price, a weight, a phone number, or a sales tax. So not only did I get the wrong rock, but there is no way it was 22 tons. Even if it was, nobody can prove it because they did not have a weight ticket either. My family and friends used Kear Construction for several decades and all was good. The business was passed down to his son Kyle. They poured a large patio, storage building pad, two car drive way and a front porch. The front porch looks terrible (has back streaks throughout and gets 3 times darker anytime we have high humidity) and they refused to do anything about it. A lot of people can pour concrete but what separates a good and bad contractor is how they handle when something does not go right. I have had 4-5 neighbors ask me for their number (driveway looks good) but when I show them my front porch they understand why I cannot recommend them anymore. I'm going to spend about $500 dollars to have the porch tiled to hide the issues. Personally, I believe the issues where caused either uncleaned brooms from a previous job or the concrete was not mixed well enough and the black fly ash is showing. Regardless, a company that buys and pours the concrete is responsible. read more
