What I thought would be a difficult fix to my fireplace, turned out to be easy for Randy and his partner.

Sooner Cleaning & Restoration

I would highly recommend this company. They did a great job with cleaning my hvac for mold. They…read morewere thorough, professional and cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions. They were flexible when I needed to reschedule a few times due to another companies conflicts with other mold remediation. Their services seemed reasonably priced after calling around to a few places. My biggest praise is the negative pressure vaccum device they have for cleaning. It was amazing. I have health issues and I was worried about anything coming down out of the vents. Between them shutting all the vents off for me and sucking everything back to the truck at the same time brought my stress down.

Long story short ... Horrible job, bad experience/customer…read moreservice, and wouldn't waste my time and money w/ Sooner Carpet Cleaners again!! For full review read below ... Carper cleaning done on 11-6-18 for a private residence about 1600 sq.ft., for which I was originally quoted $160 for. Brian got straight to work when he came. Offered me some sort of scotch-guard (I think it's called?) to help prevent any future stains from setting in. I accepted & my charge was $240 total. He was friendly and able to answer all my questions. He sprayed some sort of liquid solution and put some sort of crystallized powder before beginning. Said it was to unclog the machine because the last person didn't dilute the solution correctly. Informed me it wouldn't affect the performance or results and that the carper would dry in about 5 hours. Well 48 hours later & it was still wet!!!! Attached are some pictures of before and afters (on the same day), and the carpet doesn't look any different. There are also some pictures of what my own vacuum picked up on 11-10-18. Dirt, dust, debris (from having new lighting fixtures installed in the ceilings), dead skin cells, dog hair, food, etc ... Whatever you can think a lived in home has gone through. Now their website doesn't list regular business hours just that their open 24/7 for emergencies so I waited until 11-12-18 to call and complain. I was informed by the gentleman that answered the phone that he would need to speak w/ the owner & I'd receive a call back the next morning. Well I gave it sometime & instead of hearing from them I had to contact them on 11-15-18. The same gentleman answered and gave the phone to another named Mike. He offered to have someone come back out & redo the job. Seeing as I've already waited 48 hours for the place to dry, taken a day off work, moved in w/ large appliances & furniture w/ no other place to store them, cleaned the carpet after they were supposed to; I'm suppose to take another day off work, move back out, find a place to sleep, and wait another 48 hours for dry time. REALLY????!!!! Needless to say I declined and he offered me $60 compensation. I understand the service has already been completed and can't been undone however that's a piss poor way to say it's not their fault I'm not in the circumstance of not being able to waste more time, money, and energy!!!! I'm fucking tired the end.

This review is purely on customer service - unfortunately, a result of which is that we did not end…read moreup continuing with the cleaning. Initially, when I reached out (a week in advance of needing the clean), the team seemed responsive and professional - sending confirmation the next day, and following up multiple times over the week to verify the service window. At the time I didn't notice the lack of questioning about: how many rooms I needed carpet cleaning for, the general size of the rooms, what the state of the carpets were, or what my budget was. They also did not give any advance indication of their price range. And, they never shared whether they would call or text in advance when a tech was on their way to us (for the record, they do, and that would have given us 5 hours back to our day had we known.) They have fantastic reviews, and appear to do great work, and I haven't needed carpet cleaning in quite some time, so I assumed they needed to get the dimensions and assess in person (this was verbally confirmed by the tech when they arrived - and the tech was very kind, thorough, and tried his best -- but we'll get back to that in a minute). Our service window confirmed via text and phone call at least three times, including the day before the planned service by the schedulers was 2-6. By 5:30, I had not received any indication of whether our service was going forward. I called to check in, knowing we had 30 minutes left in the window, but just wanting to verify the plan. Only then was I told the service was running late, now estimated to be a 6:30 arrival because "the property before you keeps requesting add ons." We opted to continue forward, now being told for the first time we would get a call when they were on the way. At this point, I was mildly frustrated, but understood work can run late. However, I was also confused why this prior property was not asked to schedule a follow up service rather than pushing everyone else back. By 6:25, we had not received a call, and I had a message drafted to follow up when I DID receive a call. A call to let me know the tech was on the way - but would be about 35-40 minutes. At this time, we had been waiting for 4.5 hours, having not been told we would have a 30 minute heads up to be back, and taking valuable time away from work, and additional necessary tasks. They offered to reschedule, but could not guarantee we would be first on the list, and leaving us to wonder if we would be waiting for 5 hours again. We proceeded, having asked how long the service would take - it was estimated to be an hour and we should be done by 8-8:30. This was the first time through all interactions I was asked how many rooms would be serviced. I expressed concern for the timeline, and disappointment at the lack of communication on the actual service date. No apology was offered, no solution other than continuing to wait, or to reschedule for another window, being offered. When he arrived, the tech was kind, fast, and professional. He answered my questions, and assisted me in looking at several service combinations. He was also able to verify that their policy for pricing is to evaluate the floors in person, and get the exact dimensions. Which is understandable, but would have been appreciated in advance. The first quote we were given, as was shared by another reviewer previously, was over $800 for 3 rooms with their closets, and 2, very short, hallways. One room has significant pet smells, but the rest do not. There was no furniture nor items to be moved, nor maneuvered around. The second quote, with highest tier treatments removed was still above $600. When I pushed for standard treatments, we were quoted around $400. I shared that was well above the cost I had anticipated, and was asked my budget. I said $300 max (which is still above average), and was eventually quoted $375, I asked to remove another option and it was reduced to $348. I asked if there were any coupons or specials, and THEN was informed of an option that would be close to that $350 including after environmental fees (not included in the original quotes). And finally, I inquired if it would be possible to do just an incredibly standard steam clean for the majority of the spaces, and only focusing on the more intense treatments for the one room that needed them. I was told that was not an option. Unfortunately, we were not able to proceed with the service. When I looked at our quote page, it was indicated we were originally scheduled to be seen at 4pm, and we did not have a tech until after 7. TL;DR we waited 5 hours for a tech to arrive, just to be given an aggregious quote of over $800, magically reduced to $348, and with poor communication starting when it mattered most.
