Rick and the guys came out bright and early exactly as promised, in fact the door came in about a week or so early. They immediately setup there workspace and went to town dismantling the old door. The new door went up in no time, even with me asking questions now and again, which they were very happy to answer. Less than 90mins after showing up the door was installed tested and the garage cleaned up and handed back to me. I want to thank Rick for his advice on the new door, much stronger & quieter than the old one. I will not hesitate to contact them again. read more

Our garage door needed a once over. Richard came to the rescue. If your door needs fixing look no further. Quick response and great service!

FIVE STARS for Keapana Garage Doors and their great Customer Service. Rick (the owner) promptly called me back, showed up when he said he would, and worked efficiently to fix the problem with my garage door. Later that day, I noticed that one of the rollers on the garage door had slipped out of its tracks, and told Rick about it that night. Rick responded back to me immediately, and suggested some ways for me to quickly fix it. He then showed up first thing the next morning, and fixed the problem. His attitude and professionalism is refreshing, and frankly unusual for service providers on this island. He's a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend him for your garage door issues. read more

Excellent install.....clean neat and efficient....highly recommended! They got the product in and installed ahead of schedule.

Couldn't be more pleased with Rick and his Team. They fixed/replaced everything that needed to be addressed while handling all of the warranty conversation with the manufacturer despite the risk that a couple of the items may not be approved under the warranty. Rick is an honest and fair contractor alongside being talented. I will absolutely be recommending him to all of my friends and family for garage door installation and/or repair. read more

I definitely recommend them if you need service or a whole new set-up. They showed up on time, which was much appreciated. They seemed very knowledgeable and offered me several options to correct my problem. They ended up installing a whole new system in less than an hour. Everything works perfectly. The price was competitive with others I have checked. Being able to use my Costco credit card (3% back) was an added bonus. I'm very happy! read more

Just wanted to thank Rick and Mario from Keapana Garage Door (KGD) for your quality service and dedication. After calling, texting, and waiting for another service, I decide to look to Yelp and see who else can service my garage door. Rick texted me the same day I called with a quote and options for scheduling. That is by the book how to do great customer service. Rick and Mario stopped by today to replace our LiftMaster 8500. We had issues with the garage door going up but not down. LiftMaster (after many calls and parts swaps) decided to send us a new system. Thank you LifeMaster. Rick and Mario went to work swapping out the old system for an entire new system. Rick and Mario pointed out that the belt tensioner was the cause of the issue. I wish I had called Rick to begin with. Not only did they replace the system, they oiled and checked my entire garage door (Martin Door), they replaced old wire connectors with new ones. Rick then clearly explained how to check the working condition of the sensors. (Face door from inside garage - left sensor - yellow light - sends signal - right sensor - green light - receives the signal) He also suggested I keep a good clearance away from sensor as not to hit or bump the sensor leading to misalignment. He also suggested spraying the Belt Tensioner connector with Dielectric Spray. We live down near the ocean and everything rusts. Rick also clearly explained the new system operation. The overall feel was the KGD provided service beyond what was asked while staying true to the original quote and helped us maintain our system. That's Aloha! All in all I would highly recommend Keapana Garage Door. Just sorry we did not check Yelp sooner. read more

Ric at Keapana Garage Doors did our two-car garage door a few years back. He showed up when he said he would. He was kind, courteous and professional in every way. He is very knowledgable about his craft and the installation went flawlessly. We've never had a problem with the door even after 8 years! I have a few friends that have worked with Ric and they have always been complimentary when referring to his services. In addition the pricing is the best on Kauai, hands down. He is just a small, local, Kauai businessman that is doing things the right way and I highly recommend his services! read more

I have tried to get him out three different times. two for my sons house and once for my house. He didn't call back and then when I finally got a hold of him he told me to try someone else. I have a 10 foot garage door that needed the door opener belt replaced. I called Rick and left a message, he called me back before the end of the day. He was honest and told me that the size of the belt for my door may still be under warranty, he gave me a number to call so that I could have the belt replaced at no cost for parts to me. I called the manufacturer and just as he had informed me the part was still covered. As soon as the part arrived I called him to schedule an appointment to have it installed. He and his partner were efficient and professional. I appreciate honesty and efficiency. read more
